this is inanely tough - kaka likes to overshove his flopped sets/overpairs etc, but at same time he also likes to spew and jam fairly random stuff here too.
-
I dont think id fold. But id like to take into acct how aggro kateka has been. If his preflop game was a lot of 3betting then id maybe fold, but if hes been kindof straightforward preflop then i think ur gonna see a lot of hands u beat, but not by much.
-
he just got moved to my table. so im not sure what his preflop tendencies were
-
I think Id go with it here, theres too many hands he can have that u beat, and only a few that have u beat. Theres gonna be some many draws/combos and even probly KQ some of the time.

This pretty much summed up my thoughts exactly. I don't play tourneys on Full Tilt much, but when I'm playing on stars which I assume isn't that different, people seem to raise me around 50% of the time I make a continuation bet. I can't imagine they usually have TPTK beat... Obviously it's a feeling about the individual player, but given you went into the hand with under 30 BB's and flopped top pair, top kicker with this much in the pot, I can't imagine finding a fold.
-
OK guys, I folded after time banking for 30 seconds and here is why. Yes, it is possible he could have KQ or a flush draw here. But NEVER worse. I say this because there were 2 people to act left behind him, one of which either had him covered or it was close.
I typed in the chat box, "uhhh i guess i fold top top" and his reply was: : /
which makes me think he had kings at the very minimum...haha definitely the longest ive thought about any decision in a hand this entire year so far, so i thought it would be a good hand to post -
I agree with you that you're beat a lot. When I first read this post in the day while I was playing, I said to myself that I would call for sure. But after looking at it closer, I notice now that one of the guys left to act has him covered and it's not your effective stack that is being played on the flop. Since you know he's not a random player or anything, I think it's fine to fold here although it kinda sucks.
-
YES someone agrees haha

lol sounds an awful lot like you folded the best hand to me
-
nah im pretty much 100% sure that i didnt fold the best hand but ok
-
def folded the best hand, you make this call you go on to win the tourney EZGAME.

hahaha im really confused tho, if he does the
face doesnt that mean he was pissed that i folded top top...whats wrong with bet folding in this spot? what else am i gonna do?
lets break it down again. he TURBO shoved over my bet. with a covering stack behind him, his range has to be something like...
KQ, diamond draw, AQ, KK, AA, and sets
edit: and he never has KQ here because he would never TURBO jam over my 10k lead into 3 other people with KQ -
The more I think about this hand, the more I think he had AKdd, especially given the turbo jam. I really don't see him turbo jamming kq or even aq here, just makes basically no sense. I guess he could flat AKdd (or KK/AA for that matter) hoping to induce a squeeze from AsMetz or one of the 13-18bb stacks behind you. He wouldn't flat QQ pre, and that'd be a really strange/bad set-mine spot with either of the lower pps, so i'd discount sets. Maybe 67dd? fak, i donno, my head hurts.

My question: Why bet 1/4 of your stack on the flop if you are going to fold to a raise? I think you are pot committed here (but likely behind).
