  1. I'm starting to second guess my play on these two hands. I'm probably just being results oriented because I ran into aces both times but I just wanted to get some opinions.

I had no real reads on either player except that maze had been pretty tight. This hand is with about 50 people left

His flat on button worried me a little but I thought I could have pushed him off most hands in his range and isolate the short stack.

I quess it's worth noting that I was playing to make the FT with a healthly stack and willing to take some gambles to make it happen. That being said is there any way I could have lost less chips on either of these hands or are they both just pretty standard?

    Thanks for any advice.
  2. Firstly - run into Aces less!

1st hand - you can fold given the exposure to 800k behind - you have plenty enough chips to play

    2nd hand - gg!

    UL - nice run

  3. u know the answer...u dont need any advice.
  4. i think you played both hands perfectly fine. Unless u had a good read on the flatter in the first i like the isolation raise. Folding is probably ok tho since the reship is gonna be a pretty small range (plus the flat obv can be AA/KK sometimes). Read dependent for me on the 1st def tho.

  5. disagree with you playing the first hand bad. after your raise and the call by maze the other dude reraises you 250k more your gettting lil under 4 to 1 to just call. You have to isolate there even though you have minimal fold equity vs maze. you played em fine

oops meant to quote optika didnt work
  6. 2nd hand is totally standard

1st hand is somewhat icky to me and very much read dependant.

He calls off 18% of his stack pre. I just hate doing that unless I'm trapping. IDK some ppl play bad tho. If I had a read that he was loose/weak I'd prolly iso like you did.

One question: Did you know what you were gonnna do if he shoved on you pre?
  7. Thanks for the replies, pretty much what I expected to hear.

Village - if Maze had shoved pre I would have folded quickly, he had been pretty tight. He played the hand well.
