  1. with the issues raised recently, i am wondering what people consider to be cheating. obviously, we do know a few things are cheating:

    - multi accounting mtts
    - colluding in a cash game/sng
    - chip dumping
    - etc.

but what about some of the other edges players take in order to win. what about using tools such as poker office or poker tracker? how is it fair to have a computer working on your side keeping track of your oppenent's play? it is one thing to see if a player is a winner or a loser, and which games he or she might win or lose in, but these tools keep track of absolutely everything you can imagine... as many of you know. how come these are not considered cheating and unethical? in my opinion, i feel using these tools just as bad as playing with someone else at the table, as they do give an unfair edge as they keep track of opponent's play in a way that is virtually impossible for a human to do.

and what about having someone ghost you as you play? essentially making your decisions for you? i don't really have a problem with this b/c it is still a human playing a human, but what do you guys think?

obviously the reason that anyone would multi account mtts/ cheat is to gain an edge and increase chances to win, which is the goal of any poker player. we are always looking for an edge. some things are okay, others are not, so where do we draw the line?
  2. I don't use PT. I wish it got banned also, since all I do is play LHE, and I know most of my peers do. :)
  3. A very constructive post, these questions are exactly why the major sites need to address these issues. I understand people get tired of hearing about this stuff, but it will not stop, till the sites themselves address the issues raised in the post above.
