Need some opinions on which Casino is best for playing NLHE in Detroit?

Motor City has soft games at every level and the dealers are (95%) great. The poker room is clean and comfortable, it beats the hell out of Greek Town. I haven't been to MGM yet

I haven't gone to any personally, though I've only heard good things about the MGM (the company I work for has a deal where we get specials from MGM regularly, so
lots of people go, and it's their favorite poker room of the 4 (3 Detroit and the Windsor Casino). -
Motor City was my preference when I lived there. Large room, soft games, relatively competent dealers. MGM is solid, too and they have a clean, nice-looking room, but it's just not very big. Their 1-2 is a 300 max buy-in iirc while Motor City's is just 200. Only go to Greektown if you're looking to get stabbed.

I like MGM as a casino in general the best. I like their poker room, as it is a 100-300 1/2 game and 300-1000 2/5 game. However, the issue with the room is that there is a jazz/cigar bar right next to it. Playing on Friday or Saturday night is not really an option if loud noises bother you. The clientèle seems to be a higher class at MGM than any of the other casinos. The wait-staff in the MGM Poker Room is great. There is a waitress, or two on weekends and such, and a bar within 20 feet if you dont feel like waiting.
At Motor City, what everyone is saying is true. The dealers are great, theres a small offering of snacks and such. The wait-staff is relatively attentive. Games are soft. They have a 20/40 lhe/o8 game (sometimes its just lhe) on Mondays and Fridays in the AM. They have a 5/10 lo8 game on Saturdays that starts at 9 or 10am. The table games are meh. Im not a big fan. If im going to go and play BlackJack, then im going to MGM. I have heard of people being followed coming out of Motor City and robbed in the parking lot, on more than one occasion. Maybe Im friends with loud obnoxious assholes that like to throw their money around and do stupid shit, but fair warning.
At Greektown, the poker room is slowly dying. On a weekday evening, there is one or two tables of 1/2 going and one of 3/6 limit. The floor is clueless. They have different rulings for every shift, and it is really annoying. The dealers wont take control of a table if it needs it, and will just wait there and do nothing. The players that do play there are relatively bad. It is a pretty nice room, but management, dealers, and the competition have really killed it. I know that they just brought in a new poker room manager from Missouri by way of Vegas, but I have yet to meet him. From my understanding, which is pretty good, some of the 3/6 regulars have tried to move the 3/6 game to Motor City. I guess they started spreading 3/6 at Motor City yesterday at Noon.
Any other questions or any other advice about Detroit Casinos/Good Food around/Places to hang out and not get shot, just PM me. I'm always up for meeting P5ers and am around most days to gamble if anyone would so choose. -
I was in Detroit last week and played at Greektown because they were the only ones offering any sort of decent tournament. The remodeled room is very nice. Flat screen TVs , snacks and restrooms in the poker room. Unfortunately the dealers are so so at best and the desk gave me bad info about the tournaments before I went. Wanted to play the $225 buy in on Wed nite , but on the phone they said it did'nt get many players and that the thurs day $75 buy in was more popular.
So we go on Thurs and there are only ten players. Floor guy says " you shoulda been here last nite. 60 players in the $225 and 6 cash table going. It was great ". FWIW I did hear the room manager asking some players what they could to improve. As far as safety goes . You walk from the parking garage directly into the casino.
Played at Motor City awhile back. Its a really nice room also and the cash games were pretty soft (1-2) . Only complaint there is it was very noisy because one side is open to the slot machine area of the casino. This may have changed since I was there . They were talking about closing it off.
