    Hello Daniel,

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support.

We understand the frustration players are facing with the connection
issue approximately 2am EST on October 31st. I would first like to
apologize for the inconvenience and that you and many other players had
    to endure during that time.

On October 31st there was an ISP outage that caused a large amount of
disconnections from Full Tilt Poker, by the time the connection was
re-established many players were already taken out of tournaments and
hands in which they were playing. We have spent the past few days
reimbursing players for their losses and apologizing for the issue. With
that being said please note that the ISP was where the outage occurred,
as Full Tilt Poker's servers did not experience any connection issues at
    the time.

We are unsure of what ISP exactly had issues, due to the nature of the
Internet, all connections travel through servers held by Internet
Service Providers. Each area has a major ISP and generally two or three
alternatives for customers who do not live close enough to the 'hub' of
a large ISP. During the time of the major ISP outage, all players whose
connection travelled through their servers were split. When a connection
is split it tries to find an alternative route to its destination,
however since many connections are also trying to find alternative
routes causing a surge of movement it almost creates a form of traffic
as they are all trying to get to the same place, through similar routes.

With that being said when an issue such as this occurs, Full Tilt Poker
goes through and takes note of all players online at the time. With that
notice of all players we review the tournaments and players to find if
they were disconnected, if so we determine the proper course of action.

I will also give you a link, incase in the future you are ever unsure if
the issue is on Full Tilt Pokers end. Below is a link to our server
    status page:

Another link below will help further to explain how the Internet
    infrastructure works:

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you and all
players who enjoy playing here at Full Tilt Poker. We wish you the best
of luck, and hope that this has helped explain the situation.

    Regards,
