  1. I was reading Shannon Shorrs blog on cardplayer and he said that GSn has stoped airing episodes of the WPT.

Does this mean for next season... OR does it mean that they will stop airing the episodes immedietely from last season?

here is the paragraph that Shannon Shorr wrote in his blog...

"Something I haven't really touched on in this blog is the fact that The Game Show Network (GSN) is no longer broadcasting WPT events this season. This is really bad for our business because so many fish play the WPTs just for the shot at being on TV. The fields will get smaller and will now be jammed with mostly professionals."

  2. I think he misspoke. GSN is still airing this season's episodes, and they will retain the rights to replay them for like the next 5 years or so. What he meant is that they opted not to renew their WPT contract beyond this season, so they will not be showing any more new episodes when this season ends. But fear not, young grasshopper. I just read an article in one of the poker mags that said the WPT will have no problem finding a network to broadcast them. ESPN is the front runner right now, which IMO would be the best choice. Their WSOP coverage is already very good, and landing the WPT would make them the #1 place to watch poker on television.
  3. PocketFives.com Marketing Director Dan Cypra wrote the following article in early June when the story broke.<A href="http://www.pocketfives.com/online-poker-scene/world-poker-tour-seeking-new-television-partner-2964746" >

  4. Anyone watching the Caribbean Adventure? Haxton is absolutely killing this table 9m to 2m. Wonder how he got those chips lol. Love watching the young guns just raise and reraise with nothing.
