  2. Have what?? You are beating very little at this stage, so i guess the answer is yes.

I dont think the turn bet is a good line there - anything we are beating folds. I would check behind and call a small river bet, to get some value from AK, AQ, KQ type hands.
  3. appreciate the advice. other than the turn bet, did i play the hand correctly?

  4. It seems fine apart from that, depends on your personal preferences.

Obviously you are more or less playing 88 for set value by just calling preflop, as you will rarely get an all under flop. Flop raise is good, but i am pretty much looking for a cheap showdown once he calls that raise.
  5. i like the flop bet, i wanted to know where i was at. guess i should ve slowed down. i was thinking he had AK hearts, didnt want him to draw cheaply.

  6. When you are thinking about what he is holding, dont put him on a single hand (as it will always be the one that you are beating), put him on a range. He may have had AKh, but he also may have any PP from 99 to AA, or something like KQ+.

It would be fairly unlikely for him to have a drawing hand here (unless he is really LAG), so dont worry to much about him drawing out. You are just building a bigger pot which will make it even harder to fold if another under card comes.
  7. try just calling on flop and seeing what he does on turn.
