  1. Hi Folks?
i´m new to this forum, but i already mentioned, that some of the best tournament player are posting here. thats why i post my question here.
i´m fairly successfull at the midstackes tourneys (10$R - 55$freezeout).
so now i want to step up to the higher level (100$ and over).
i played very few 109$ on stars but i think the players are far more aggressive and willing to gamble from the early stages on.
    is that impession right?
and whats the properstrategy in these tourney?
is the playerlevel in these tourney so close together, that u have to gamle with your slide edges even in early stages?

would be nice to hear the differences u mentioned in these kind of tourneys and how to adjust my tight agressive style in early stages of tourneys.
in later stages i´m far more agressive than most of the other players in the midsatkes tourneys (55$) anyway.

    thanks for ur help

    zhiv

  2. My impression is at the 100 and over you have to be willing to gamble more and push your chips in with small edges. The early part of the tourney don't worry about gambling, but wants to antes kick in and you have 15/20 BB you need to pick spots to reshove. Re-stealing with a wider range is tough at first, but it's the only way to succeed in these tournaments
  3. 900-1k fields in the 50s to 400-500 max in the 109s, except on Sundays. Pros play both, gotta win more flips. But at least you know when you are shoving into someone they aren't calling 20bb off with K10o cuz they feel like it....well, ok, MOST aren't doing this...still spewtards in every game but less here.
  4. there is no one proper strategy. play the way you feel comfortable. just make sure you make adjustments to your table.

  5. its just slightly more complex imo. cards matter less, position/stack size and player tendancies are more important in decision making.

that being said, they're all spewtastic really.
