  1. What do you guy's think is the best practice if your opponent disconnects while head's up in a tournament and you are the only two left?
    A. Sit out till he/she comes back
    B. Play through
    C. Play through and ship some of the winnings so he/she doesn't kill themselves over disconnecting

What would you actually do as well ?
  2. gonna be honest here.... keep clicking the min raise button as often as physically possible... I just think its not ur fault they have a dodgy connection, and with roles reversed, I expect my opponent to do the very same, so me doing it when the disconnect is in my favour just balances things out.. Disconnections have cost me thousands of dollars in the past, and simply wont feel too guilty about getting my thousands back due to somebody elses bad connection.

This. Unless it's someone I know in the poker world. Otherwise I play to win money and not to show good etiquette.

  4. id like to say i sit out... but i would prob not be in a rush to steal the blinds i would take my time and maybe show that i made an effort to stall.. and hope that maybe stars will compensate them a bit.....cause def in the past anytime i disconnected my opp's took full advantage and raped my blinds... hell even 1 time hu i had to pee real bad and villain said no prob will it out and wait for me i come back and i was raped obv... so yeah if u always wait for someone to come back then u put yourself at a disadvantage.. i would say if u want to be a good person stall a bit make an attempt at good doing... dont snap rape snap rape and make it obvious your a glutton and skank.
  5. This happened to me recently and I used up my time bank to give them a chance to re-connect. It was a micro tournament, doubt i do that when there's more money up for grabs.
  6. I would steal the blinds every time. Unless I did however know the person.

  8. same as everyone else, if it's someone i wouldn't do this to, we prob would be choppin anyways

  9. Run down the clock when its my turn to act then raise. Give him a chance to re-connect

Sitting out i dont agree with nor the click raise instantly
  10. Was playing a $500 satty heads up match and other guy disconnected. Did not think much of it as i preceded to click reraise each hand and take down the tourney. Fired up another satty and the guy who disconnected had a few words with me in the chat box. I asked him, "what was I suppposed to do?" When he said, "Sit out" the notion had never crossed my mind until then. After shipping him $150 for feeling somewhat bad, the guy was having none of it and continued to berate me in front of the other players saying he didn't want or need the money and would never take the cash if it was from me anyways (which he obv never sent back anyways)
After all of this, I think now sitting out and letting the player reconnect is the correct thing to do. I'm sure there would be some kind of time frame but all of this makes me think of the time Kongsgaard disconnected while heads up in the $750k on Full Tilt and finished 2nd in a tourney he most likely would have taken down. I mean, you couldn't possibly disconnect at a worse time. I've disconnected heads up before but nothing compared to this, and I think after being on both sides, I would click the "sit out" tab and give them the 5 minute rule.
