  1. Ok, when I first started using Poker Tracker 2, I used to always use the HUD, and I thought it seemed to help my game... I would only use it in the most basic ways, mainly if I saw a player that has only played a low % of his hands, I would take him more seriously, and if a player is playing 50% of his hands, I would call him down loosely, etc...

Then, after FTP changed the way the hands were saved, and PT2 took a dive, I started using the trial version of PT3, got used to it and stopped using the HUD... I remember hearing about a couple of big players not using it, and it made me realize that taking HUD stats too seriously can really alter your game. I have been consistently building my bankroll for the past couple months, more than I ever have before in the 4 years I've been playing, and I truly understand what it takes to be successful now... for the longest time I would play cash games over my head, and of course it always lead to destruction.

Anyways, now I'm thinking about how PT3 only tracks hold'em, and I play other games as well, and of course winning a little in a few other non-holdem events, it flaws the PT3 stats... and also another thing I knew but never did anything about, is when you get a couple of knockouts in KO tourneys on FTP, it doesn't add them up... so that really flaws your statistics on PT3. And since I can't find how many KO's I had in past tournaments, I can't really make the stats as "flawless" as possible...

I might just stop using PT3 anyways because I feel that I don't really need it at all, but maybe I'll use Hold'em Manager... not sure. I figure the only thing they are good for is to look over hands that you may want to study to find leaks and such, but other than that everything is covered on SharkScope and OPR...

I feel comfortable enough with my game now that I don't feel the need to even have any PT or HM, I think all I need is OPR and SS.
  2. couple things-

    1) you can request a report from FTP that they will send you and it will give you the nitty gritty of everything you played in the timeframe you ask for. It'll be a bit of a pain but you can pull all of your KO's out of there.

    2) playing non holdem events wont screw up your PT3 holdem data- it can't bring in the results from the non-holdem stuff anyway.

    3) Even if you don't use the HUD, you'd be crazy not to review your sessions anymore. Your learning curve would melt.

  3. Yeah, that's all true. I think it's sort of dumb that they don't have every form of poker covered that's on any given poker site... PT2 had mostly everything covered, then they upgrade to PT3 and only save holdem? C'mon...

PT2 didn't save anything other then holdem either.

You needed to buy a seperate program for omaha, stud etc.

You need to go back and check what you had - maybe you bought the other modules too when you had PT2

  5. I still use PT2, but I only play SNGs/MTTs. I have no real problems with Full Tilt and in fact I love the fact that PT2 can download the tourney summaries as long as you keep the lobby open for said tourneys.
