  1. I'm a goldstar, is it better to go incognito or try and intimidate n00bs?
  2. Don't show anything. Giving away info in a game of incomplete info = a misinfo'ed decision imo.
  3. i think displaying this info works both ways. Say you're just a bronzestar and youve been crushing on fulltilt for years and now moved to stars, people are just gonna think your a noob and try to look u up alot. if you show your higher vip status, you might be more likely to get credit from people for having experience. its truly a coin flip
  4. IMO if you are both bronzestar, and really good, it's a good idea. Also if you are gold+ and really bad, it's a good idea. Other than that, it's probably a bad idea.

Showing gold will tell a good player that you probably know how to shove lighter BvB and are playing hands appropriate for the situation.
  5. once i accomplished my vip status...i was so happy to show it, then i noticed..kids were looking me up more often, or didnt give me credit in situations..and the bvb is just insane..so i opt to turn it off
  6. i noticed some of the bigger names will show their supernova everyday but sunday, a little funny imo

  7. If your elite do u show it? Could be worth the brag in itself
  8. sick barg

And I think it's pretty funny how some ppl actually use this in decision making. Can't count the number of times I've seen those stars just to see how bad of a player they really are.

VIP level does not = skill

    VIP level = volume

i never think stars = good, but i cant help but notice the bronze star and i would deff display it if i was a good player who didnt play. I think i saw wretchy pimping the bronze star when he came back

  10. Never show.
  11. haven't played much on stars in last 2 months so i was down to 1star for first time being lower than 4stars in like a year and showed it during wcoop. maybe players think that i would just play tight so they gave me more credit and players might also think they can make plays and other stuff and doesn't work out that well for them. other than 1 i wouldn't show unless i was elite for a sick brag
  12. If there is no tangible benefit to you, other than your ego...then don't do it.

Feel free to use this advice in your life outside of poker as well.
  13. I play 1.75 18 man and 1.20 9 man on stars and there was a guy playing the 18 man that was supernova. I totally took that into account when playing. I knew he had to play a lot of volume and probably knew what he was doing...respected his reraises a little more.
  14. If i see anyone displaying anything but supernova elite....i dont really think twice.... In all reailty its not that hard to make gold star in a day.
