  14. U are wrong, nothing will change a year from now, it will be exactly the same.

but i agree making our voices heard is important, but the UI GE A didnt change much and is already attempted to be enforced. ACH processing FTW
  15. I'm not sure if I'm really worried too much anymore. I used to freak out @ at every scare but the more I think about it the more i realize that with these sites existing off shores and the whole business of online poker existing ONLINE I don't really see how the govt can do much about it.

Seems to me like the sites will continune to find ways for US citizens to get money on and get money off. They make millions and millions every week and billions every year... they'll find a way... they won't let the money stop pouring in imo.... am I wrong?

  16. I think you'd be hard pressed to find somebody as supportive of President Obama as I am - ok there are many fanatics out there... but I, like many others, am inspired by him and believe he can achieve everything he said he aspired to throughout the campaign. What a leader, what a great step for the United States.

That being said, the idea that Obama can fix everything you want is ridiculous and you know it. I'm reminded of a Conan sketch where they interviewed a guy saying, "That waitress at Hooters who never talked to me... STILL won't talk to me! I thought Obama was going to change that." So, and forgive me if everyone who posted above is just joking around, the whole line "Obama will fix it" is pretty delusional. I know that things we are most passionate about feel like they should be the world's priority as well, but it would be too insulting and would result in too much flaming if I told you what i think the true position online poker has on the U.S. government's priority list. Hint: it's low.
  17. There's nothing going on with the UIGEA next year that would make it any harder to play poker than it is now.

That said, I agree with the OP in that we need to make our voices heard. Call your congressman every so often and remind him that we are voters, not victims.
