Do you have to be 18/21 to be eligible to win a Aruba/WSOP satelite?

    I'm currently 20 and will be 21 on June 30th. Theoretically speaking if I were to win a seat in the Main Event, would I have to be 21 at the time that I won the seat online? And the same thing goes for being 18 for the Aruba tournament? I have a younger friend who was curious about that...

    Here's PS response to the wsop part of your question:

    Q. How old do I have to be to play in these events?

    A. The minimum age to play on pokerstars is 18 but the minimum age to play in the World Series of Poker is 21. Therefore, you must be 21 by the time the WSOP starts (July 28, 2006) to play in our WSOP satellites.

    The question is though, IF YOU ARE NOT THE AGE REQUIRED WHEN YOU WIN THE SATELITE, WILL YOU LOSE YOUR SEAT??

    If your 21 on or before July 28, 2006 you can play pokerstars sats to the WSOP ME.

    Is this different from WPT? I thought I heard there were some younger players in the WPT that was down there.

    You are of sufficient age to playboth events. Your age at the time you won your entry is not relavent. See you there.

    Aruba is 18. Just make sure you are playing on your account and not your dad's when you win your satellite.

    Correct. My bday is July 19, when i turn 21. Hypothetically if I qualified which wont happen, but if i did. I will be 21 for 7 days and will be at the wsop. So yes your safe.
