These are two hands from a regular $33 SNG on Stars. I just moved up from the $22s and have played four so far with a win and two thirds. I finished third in this one by the way and was two-tabling at the time (if that's important).
We are still 8-handed in both situations and I have a tight image.

I had no read on Yankeyes14, I don't think he had played a hand (so perhaps you could say he was tight or just hadn't picked up a hand). I couldn't work out what this overbet meant. Do I assume AK or is he playing scared poker with AA/KK/QQ? Or trying to make a high pocket pair look like AK? I folded because I just didn't know what to make of it.

I was not worried about Couteau Kid's call, he was very loose and calling everything. Once again I am faced with an all-in overbet. GBaRtMaN had been very aggressive but was only showing down good hands. Would you call another 1430 chips here at the 25/50 level? Once again I couldn't put him on a hand and decided to fold (my preferred option early in a SNG when I am unsure). If we were short handed with higher blinds I would call both in a heartbeat.
So my main question is, what do these all-in overbets mean in the early stages of a regular $33 SNG on Stars? And would you make these calls in my situation? -
I call the 2nd hand with JJ for sure.
the squeeze play is SO HYPED these days and so many people are trying it with any 2 cards....just look at some of the posted HH by action jeff to see what i mean.
1010 you can walk away from. You can walk away from JJ too.....but you uf you call IMO you will find yourself the preflop favorite -
Yeah it seemed like a terrible spot to make a squeeze play and risk that many chips (for that pot) with any two. The second hand was definitely a tougher laydown. The more I think about it, he would probably raise AA/KK/QQ to about 500. The guy hadn't made a crazy overbet before this so I didn't know what to do. At the time if I called I would have just been hoping for the best, with no real confidence.
