reads are solid on both players... what do you put them on? -
I'm guessing at least one person has an overpair. I would put Archie on either a 10-10 or a J-J. He had a huge bet going in, seemed like he wanted to buy this pot pre-flop (though, with the raise, you can't eliminate K-K or A-A). The caller, probably the same. Though, I play tons of low limit tourney's, and I could see the person calling having an 8 or even a 3 (if they had A-3 suited). So, I would fold here. I figure at least one person has you.
So, what happened? -
i agree with lord; one, maybe even both have higher pocket pairs and even if they don't i believe they have minimum of two overcards (AK,AQ,KQ) or A8,A3 so you have to fold. Personally i think your pre-flop play is poor.....commiting $23 out of you 75 to pocket 7s. What happens if 3 overs hit.....you have to fold. My advice is to try to see flops with middle pocket pairs fairly cheaply and when the implied odds are great (8:1)
what happened? -
i ended up calling and being against AK and AK, it held :x
-
i think thats a bad call imo....-ev move in most cases
-
as i stated i would have folded here. Can i ask why after you initially raised to $7 and it got repopped to 23 with a caller did you call? did you believe your 7s were good and what did you put the other two on?
-
the first caller was in the game for something like $600 already, pretty much calling everything with any two. the other guy hadn't really done much, so i figured AK was a distinct possibility, although he certainly couldve had qq kk aa etc...

Have you ever seen a worse overcall?
