Okay so, I am pretty sure that almost everyone at these forum plays at least a little bit of online poker. Chances are also that many of these same people have played offline poker as well. My question for all of you then, is which type of poker do you prefer? Both online and offline poker have their advantages, but which do you like better and why?

25 hands per hour on only one table at a time = fucking kill me
-
Yeah i was just got back from an offline tournament and i didnt really like it

I prefer live (or offline for op) much more. I love Venetian due to the fact they use an auto shuffler. I am much better at using my reads live than online.

playing online is about 499,283,567x better than live

I primarily play 50nl online and 1/2 at the casino. Online is soooo much better because of the convenience of being able to play at your house and the ability to play several tables at once, which severely cuts down on the boredom factor. But the play online is also tougher. Generally, the 50nl game online has much better players than the 1/2 game at Mountaineer. So what keeps me going back to live is how terribad the players are--and they all usually have several hundos in front of them. This makes dealing with the tediousness of seeing like 1 hand per 1-1.5 minutes, having to tip the dealers, play with sometimes obnoxious and annoying opponents, seem worth it. I've won over 1k a few times playing 1/2 at Mountaineer over 8-12 hrs. I've never won nearly that much in any long cash session online.
Answer is easy--play both. -
Which do I enjoy more? Live. Which is better in terms of an hourly $$$? Online.

Online FTW
but I think I'm a better player live. You get a lot more time to break down hands and focus on reads. It makes it a lot more fun -
Online poker FTW. Live players are so bad and the live game is such a short run game. If you run good you'll make a lot of money.

Live is funner
Online is better -
Playing online has the advantage of being more fast paced and being able to play just about anywhere. However, playing live allows you to read the players more deeply. You can see their facial expressions and actions. It makes it easier to read your opponents. I play both but definitely prefer live because the read factor.

Definately online....u can play so many tournaments a day, whatever stakes you choose, choose from several different sites...play from your own home...play loud music...search your opponents on opr...browse forums while playing...post hh from the tourney and get advice...not only get to play 10 hands an hour vs people that like to constantly say things like " whoo hoo pocket snowmen, rocket in the whole pocket, ahhh thats what i put you on obv why i called and lost pot" . But there is nothing like owning someones soul on the real tables especially when they're an annoying prick. I love playing several live tourney series a year tho and look forward to playing many more. Cant imagine poker without both forms

Within the past few years, I have definitely grown to prefer playing my Poker online. Why you may ask? Simply because I can play from the comfort of my own home whenever I want to, and there are always different players to hold a game with. Offline poker just can't match that kind of stuff!
