    Wow Kid...I wonder if you are reading the same thread I am. I never said I didn't believe any of the posts on here and in fact, I welcome all comments...even yours. And I never said I couldn't beat the donks, I stated that I wasn't cream'in the lower limit games, but was having better results at the higher limits and was just posing a question for general conversation. I have not 'dismissed' anyones comments on here. You say I've dismissed the advice from more experienced players...I don't know what anyones level of experience is and I take all comments equally as well. I am quite familiar with my own level of play though. You say people shouldn't fall into the trap of thinking they are better than they are...if they never step up, how are they going to know how good they are? Where would everyone be if they settled for mediocrity? Never tested the waters? Never took that shot? How many times have you heard the more experienced folks say that they moved up...ate shit for a little while and stepped back down? It happens and I am ready to step up and take that shot. If I don't succeed, the lower limits are still there. If I do succeed, I didn't waste all that time trying to beat donks for quarters...thanks again for your comments...they are most appreciated...

    Well Bryan I agree with you unlike the rest. I recently transfered over 1500 from party to give pokerstars a try. I thought to get a feel for the site and the type of play, I would start at 20 sng's. It was aweful. No one would ever fold any hand no matter what the raise was and someone was all-in every other hand. I play poker also for the entertainment value and that type of play(All-in and prey) is not fun at all. I thought I was playing a rebuy tourney thats how bad it was. So after experencing 8 sngs like that I jumped up to the 50 and 100 sngs which I normally play on party. The difference in skill level and the over all play was unreal. Everyone takes a shot from now and then. I find it hard to believe that everyone on p5 plays every single game with in there bankroll. If you are winning at the higher levels and losing at the lower limits why not stay at the higher limits. Good Luck.

    quick question..what constitutes beating the donks at say a 1.00 or 5.00 sng? would it be a 20-30 percent win rate over say 100 games?

    Bryan, you need some tough love. A few people have said it now, but I have to warn you as well. If you can't beat the 10$ sng's, you can't beat the $50's. The difference in skill is more than you realize. The players that play the 50's are good. Period. There's usually a couple of pro/semi pro's at the table at that level, there's 3-4 strong players too, a couple of average players, and maybe a donkey or two. You'll still see all the same stupid plays you see in the 10$ games, but you'll also run into guys who are so much better than you you'll have no chance. I'm not saying you'll never beat the 50$ games, but you'll need to build up to it and move up the limits like everyone else. Try to prove me wrong, but I would bet you any amount of money that you can't win over the course of 300 games at the 50$ level. Maybe in a 6 months or a year (probably longer) if you build your way up, sure, but until you can beat the 10$ games, you'll never beat the 50's.

    I'm not saying this to be cocky, but I could drop to any level of sng below me and I could smash it even harder with each level I drop. Any good player will tell you the same thing. Ask any pro/semi pro player at the $50 limits if he'd rather face the opponents from the $10 game instead, and every single one of them would take the low limit donkeys. Suck outs don't scare me, calling stations don't scare me, donkeys don't scare me... in fact, that sounds like poker nirvana.

    There's noone alive that is capable of beating $50 SNGs that is not capable of destroying $10 SNGs.

    you cant argue with success...if you are playing better at the higher levels and have to roll to support it than go for it

    on a side note

    I find myslef playing down to the level of my opponents every now and then...Its hard to avoid when you see bad play all around you...decent hands just start looking like gold...
    this is one of my bigger leaks that needs adjustments...any1 else find themself doing this?
