when i was in college it seemed so much easier to play poker all day every day. now that i have graduated i dont want to play much anymore and i have all the free time in the world. i think its because i enjoyed playing poker instead of being in class, because the alternative was class. now the alternative is complete free time and i dont want to play. thoughts?

I would suggest getting a back breaking job...then you will appreciate being able to make money using your mind instead of your back.
-
ok this is easy... i would suggest... back breaking job is not necessary...
do what you want to.... if that means not playing poker, and you can afford not earning, then do something else.
poker is brutal, and if you're not motivated you won't win. -
Wow, Jeff, u read my mind. I remember back when I was in school and would bring my laptop to a night class because I didn't wanna miss the start of a nightly tourney. I also remember playing just sick, disgusting, inhumane volume when I got out of school. In fact, I prob played more in my 1st 2 months out of school then I have in all of 2008. It's very possible you're just going through what I'm going through, and realizing poker is satan's game and it's an absolute bitch to play. While I haven't made a decision yet, it looks like I'm about to go back to school after a 2 year hiatus. Perhaps in a few months, I'll hate school so much that I'll want to play poker again. While I guess u can't go back to school, maybe u should go put that degree to use and get a job.

if you dont want to get a job or go back to school try finding lots of hobbies/activites to bide your time as well as new cool places to go on the weekends or something. Just so you barely have time to play poker and when you do you are more willing to grind during that time

^^^^^yes to both. also, when i graduated from school and played all the time i def enjoyed it less
-
yeah, actually i did manual labor for 3 summers during college for $8 an hour when i had a 6 figure bankroll... now all i have been doing is traveling and having a good time but i am starting law school in 12 hours and i cant wait! see you all at the tables

Possibly a future option. However, while trying to decide if I can get serious about school again, the plan is to attend Brookdale.
