Does Verizon wireless work in Aruba?

    I was wondering if my verizon cellphone, and verizon aircard for my laptop, will work in aruba?

    I called verizon wireless to get a straight answer, and here is what they told me.

    My phone should work anywhere on the island, although there are a few weak spots.

    price $1.29 per minute

    They do not have broadband wireless, but the wireless card should work. However, it will only work at dial up speeds, and also costs $1.29 per minute.

    Hopefully the hotels have decent broadband.
