Has anyone played a large enough sample to offer any insight as to potential ROI? Forgive me if this is a re-post; I have used the search engine tool and have found nothing to help me in answering this question. Links to previous threads appreciated! Thanks.

I've played 824 $10s and only ran at 6%. My last couple sessions were atrocious and my worst downswing in them yet. I may have tilted a bit during that. Plus for a few hundred games I was adjusting. I'd say 8-12% should be sustainable with enough effort put forth.
-
Wow.... that kinda sucks actually. This is not meant as offense to you. One would think that solid SNG players would increase profitability commensurate with the fact that there is less variance....
-
For me im happy with 10% roi in them, I was a 10% roi at the non turbo sng's so for me I can play more of the doubleups in 1 hour that I can in the non turbo sitngos. And the fees are cheaper and that helps out a ton if you play 100 of them a day.If you play 20+2 full ring sitngos at pokerstars and do 100 a day you save 120 bucks a day playing the doubleups.

I haven't put in a big enough sample not even close but I agree with a few posts ahead. I assume a solid SNG player should have way more than 10% ROI.
-
Less variance doesnt necessarily mean an increase in ROI. Just have to look at what ROI a good MTT player can achieve compared to a good STT player. MTT's obv have higher variance.

Has anyone else found that most players have pretty much figured out these double or nothings and just play solid TAG until it's bingo time? Can they still be profitable or are they becoming coin flipaments?
-
i play them extremely aggressive...it seems like people just hang around while im stealing blinds. by the time the bubble hits i have enough chips to survive the blinds...people play very scared in these things
-
I've played about 9 of them and cashed in 7, seems ok so far...

You're saying you have a 10% in non-turbo stts?

Over a significant sample, which is only a few people have, 10
% would be absolutely killing these, imo. -
I play 90% of my games at cakepoker in the last 6 months.
-
Is 1000 a good sample size for the DonN's? I will have that much at cake by the end of the week?
