  1. I know there have been like 16534630 Posts on this before but what is everyones average win rate in the Regular Double Shootouts (not the turbos) for the Sunday Tourney? I am a very above average sit and go player, I cash about 50% and win about 60% of those cashes but I am unable to do well in these. I have played about 10 now and I can't even win the first table. I've heard people win seats about 1 out of every 4. Just wondering how everyone does it, any tips.

I know you have gamble more at the end because you have to win but I've been doing that and it isn't working, even when im way ahead.
    Thanks All!
  2. I have had decent success in the regular ones. I play extremely tight through the first levels, except maybe a few cheap flops with low pp's hoping to catch sets.

When blinds get higher, people tighten up, take advantage by stealing and being aggressive, especially if at the ft when the seats are near.

    GL SIR
  3. WOW 50% ITM and 60% of those wins...dude what do you care about sat shootouts...just own SNGS and build a huge BR
  4. lol, he could just buy his way in since he owns SNGs so much and must be making a killing
  5. lol, a 50% ITM and 60% of that is wins is 30% win rate.....Just another person that keeps stats in their head

As for the DS trnys, I've made money at them (not a ton, but enough) but damn are they frustrating. Basically, it is like winning a 16 SNG of 10 people for 80$ and putting that money into another SNG that just pays really weird (1st and/or 2nd gets the most and others get a few bucks).

Personally, I think they are a good way to build up trny dollars because of all the weak players in them and decent payouts for the top. The 16 buyin ones usually are short handed for the first table and then its a 10 person SNG for $650 in trny$.
  6. i ve recently had very big success in the WSOP DS, and i am considering of doing an article along with animated HH in PXF. I m too lazy to do so lol! i ve given my guidelines before, i ll give it as short as possible now cos i m in a bit of a hurry:

    - Play good poker all the way
    - Even though you have to gamble more, u shouldnt be reckless and gamble with the WORSE OF IT. You SHOULD GAMBLE early on though, cos EVERY CHIP Counts.... here i can post my HH at the FT in the battle of me VS WPTHero, which was great, we both played great, and i admit i made amistake which went good when i outdrew him. The video is great though on how to fight for the lead of a table..
    - Near the end... PLAY power poker! DONT BE AFRAID TO PUT THEM ALL IN THE MIDDLE. FORCE OTHER PEOPLE TO FOLD!

Ok , i ll try to put the PXF Video on here.. there are a lot of points to learn from that

  7. Ok here it is..

Some points to be learned... GAMBLE EARLY ON BUT NOT FOR ALL YOUR CHIPS IF YOU DONT
    HAVE THE BEST OF IT
Take the captaincy of the table (outdraw your opponent)

Near, the end, KEEP THE PRESSURE at the maximum level.

  8. LOL actully i keep an excel spreadsheet, thank you
