I self-excluded since I keep depositing min once or twice a week and it's becoming a drag. I'm hoping to learn a thing or two while I get over the financial hump of the holidays to deposit again. I'm ok at 6max micro-cash, I just tend to alter my style in a -EV way depending on the mood. I'm a degen, but I spend far less on poker than most of my friends do on DVD's.
Should I:
Harass my coach (free, he's a RL friend, but I hate to bother him because he's free, which is sort of counter-intuitive, but not really).
Pour over my HH and evaluate myself. I already know my biggest leak is the 3-barrel-value-bluff, esp on the river. I'm ok at reviewing HH since I get to think. In active hands, I just gambol 50% of the time I miss a flop, which is 33% right?
Invest in a poker tracker, though I don't think I'd make any use of it.I know they have a trial period, so maybe learn the stats, then activate on my return?
Quit drinking so fucking much ;)
Try researching PLO because I'm actually having fun there.
Stay the fuck away from poker and cool-off all together.
Play lots of live with my buddy's house game (omaha heavy) to stay fresh since I crush--but it feels like a sleepwalk.
Wait until I'm rolled for my fav game .10/.25 NLHE (even if it takes until March) and then come back. I swing fine there, my roll just can't handle the variance when I'm totally underrolled. I used to grind DoN's and ran into the same problem.
OR learn to BR manage and grind the fucking .2/.5 and hope something changes in my brain?
---------------------
I will NEVER be disciplined enough to grind .2/.5, much less .1/.2, and I know this. I just don't know where to start with the research side of developing one's game aside from actually playing. If I'm not paying for buy-ins, I'm not paying for books or coaching, esp when I have books and coaching. -
u say u don't want to grind the .1/.2 cuz you're not disciplined enough. In my opinion u should start there and learn to beat those limits. Then when you're doing well and steadily making money and beating them. Move up in limits and repeat the process. You always want to be trying to get better. Never be happy with where your game is at. glgl

U don't need that much to grind .05/.1. If your really poor play .02/.05. & mix in a few other smallish games which take your fancy. $50>$100 should be fine. Win roll for .1/.25.

Number-1:
Number-2:Learn to BR manage and grind the 1c/2c & 2c/5c and hope something changes in my brain?
Learn to play the micro-stakes. They like to show down their hands. So, don't bluff until you find someone who knows how to fold (which is rare).
Number-3:
Invest in HoldemManager, and learn to use it if you plan to play online. Get the Small Stakes version to start. When you move up to 50c/$1, you will know how valuable it is.
Number-4:
Pour over my HH and evaluate myself.
Number-5:
Talk to your coach about how to play. Pay him a few buy-ins and he'll be more receptive to giving you some of his time.
Number-6:

Thanks for the words I needed to hear.
<sigh>
I already beat .5/.10 on stars and moved to FT for rakeback and the midnight madness. Both have eaten my roll, not to mention some tilted-degen shots at higher buy-ins.
I'll just review, go back to the start, and play with coffee instead of boooooze. TYVM. -
