OK,
I've gotten several suggestions and spent all night working on the new vesion. This is not what I would call a massive overhaul, but it is a significant change to the previous version. For those who are interested, here is the link to the new spreadsheet.
For those who questioned how to work the satelite issue, please see the test data in November of the below sheet.

its still uploading... posted b4 it was done.
-
going to bed... any questions, find me on chat tomorrow... or mail me.
-
just downloaded it, will recommend it to everyone I know.
-
wow beanie, thanks.
-
for B&M players... please start listing what Casinos you would like on the sheet and I can start working on that section as the next improvement.
or mail me a jesterwords@yahoo.com -
Hey Jester,
I am sure many people are downloading this file but do you think you can get some more links open? It's not slow but yet, it's not fast either. Thanks for the hard work Sir.
Take care,
nuht -
Jester,
Just a suggestion, but what about putting the Sites on a separate sheet like you did with the buyins so the user can just add as new sites or B&M's as needed.
Thanks again for a great sheet. -
Unless someone else hosts the file, I have no other sites to host it from currently. Comcast gives me 25mb free space and the two sheets are taking up close to 19mb right now. All I can do is ask for your patience when pulling it down.
-Steve -
good idea... I can add them to the same sheet as the others, but with sites, I have direct references in formulas, so if users were to add sites, they would end up having to go through and deal with changing the references in the formulas.
I'm self taught with excel, so we are getting into areas that would need VBA (which I've done some work in, but I'm no where near where I would need to be do all automation of fomulas for users to add sites). I would welcome anyone who is a VBA nut to help with such a thing, but I imagine adding in more VBA suff will start to make this thing close to 15mb - 20mb.
As this is a work in progress, and I'm doing it for free, I'll see what I can do for you, but I can't promise that it would be easy on the end user for such a request. At the present time though, if you have sites that I am not listing, please let me know and I'll add them into the current format for V5.0.
-Steve -
Keep up the good work Jester
-
thanks jester.
is there anyway to track bonuses? or do you have to just add it as a transaction type. -
Thats a good point. I need to add that in, for now enter it in as a deposit and put a note that it was a bonus earned in the BR page.
-
i just added "Bonus" to the list under "deposits" "withdraws" etc.
it would be nice to see just your bonus total somewhere. anyway, thanks again. -
I'll be adding in for the next version... looking at doing a complete overhaul with VBA... but I've got to relearn it while I'm doing it. UGH!
-
I can host it for you if you would like. Just PM me.
-
I added in Bonus cleared option into the BR section to track those now.
Test data sheet has some entered in so you can see how it looks. -
not letting me go to the site from the link can i have the actual site to just type it in.
-
sorry, fixed the link
-
i downloaded version 5 and i get this upon opening it: missing file: C:css\pwplocal.css
-
DD... a css file is part of the sheet itself, I tried downloading to a different computer and had no problems. I have hyperlinking in the spreadsheet that uses css formatting.
Here is the definition of a css file:
<h3>Cascading Style Sheets</h3>
(C-S-S)
A developing specification that allows style sheets to be applied toWeb pages. With a style sheet one can design a particular look and thenapply that look in many places with a simple command. Cascading is usedto allow you to have styles within styles.
Try downloading the file again, sounds like the download was corrupt.
-Steve -
Jester, do you mind if we edit this spreadsheet ourselves and post our modifications (With appropriate acknowledgement of your work)?
I wish to go in a slightly different direction with a similar project to this, hopefully with your blessing and support. -
VN ty sir

There a a couple of fixes that need to get put in... went out with friends for birthday, got drunk, didn't work on it a lick. Keep on the lookout though. For those excel heads... on your sheets, in the A2 column...<table x:str="" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="121"><col width="121"><col> <tbody><tr><td x:str="" height="17" width="121"></td></tr></tbody></table>=IF(A3="","",(T2+(S3-R3)+(IF(F3=U10,M3-G3,M3))-L3)) <table x:str="" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="121"><col width="121"><col> <tbody><tr><td x:str="" height="17" width="121"></td></tr></tbody></table>
-
thanks for adding the bonus option, but there is still a slight problem with it.
it tracks the bonus on the front page, but doesnt add it to your total BR on each months page.
thanks,
Bode -
will look into that for you... working on some major ideas for changes right now, thats why I haven't put an update out in the past few days.
I'm looking to reduce the size of it as well as fix a few bugs.
Thanks,
Steve
