downswings

    im currently on my like 4th bad downswing in the past 6 months. all 4 of them are between 50-120 BI's i play cash. ive tryed everything and anything just making sure this is normal. i win often when not on these ive gone from playing 2NL to 100NL in a and back down idk how many times. i use 35 30 bankroll usually 8 tbls

    if your losing 100 bis at any cash game something isnt right. try 45 buy ins and 4-6 tables

    yea ive tryed everything even paid one of my friends that plays prof. to look at hand historys and he said im playing great and the luck is kicking me in the balls

    Just keep grinding. Keep playing good.. Always practice solid bankroll management and eff the bad beats. You just have to learn to take them in stride.. You have to be ice cold...Controlling your emotions when you're running bad is just as important as your hot streaks...

    i think your kidding youself if you lose 100bi and believe your playing ALL of your hands well. go over your hands again and see what you coulda done different.

    Maybe 100NL doesn't suit you but you can crush at 50NL. Maybe try playing there and not moving up just because you have the roll to. If you can make money at 50NL but not at 100NL there's no reason to move up

    Maybe ur friend doesn't really know what he is doing after all? And if he is ur friend, why are you paying him to look at HHs?

    120 buy in cash game downswing is ridiculous

    more than one of these is even more ridiculous.. you're doing something wrong

    I am taking 30 days off thru pokerstars. Right now I feel like taking my bankroll and paying of my car for 13k and saying FUCK poker.

    * I think to many study sites
    * The UIGEA is getting closer and banks are tighten down(no new money)

    This equals more sharks than ever. I have never had a losing month Until October 2009. I been running up for 40 months. Something is wrong!!!!

    I looked you up and your graph seems pretty descent. Yes I would say you have had some downswings that you could fix by probably switching the way you play a little. Maybe cut down the number of tables until you can avoid the swings but you are still trending upward.

    There is no way your down 120 buy ins.. Just looking at the graph.. Its impossible. You would have to be the worst player on the earth to have that kind of downswing. And I know your not. Because I am.. And I when I havent had anywhere near 100 buy in downswings. 10 at the most..
