  1. how come he hasn't won anything since like the mid 70's? is it because he's mostly a cash game player or is it because the fields are just so huge....after all, being a pro for so many years and not being able to win a bracelet in like 30 years sucks. I really doubt he'll win another bracelet.

EDIT. strictly talking about the ME event...
  2. doyle who?
  3. alright then.

Doyle is not in the game for the bracelets!! He just wants the $$$$$$$$$$$$. And he gets them too. He has been putting in 12-14 hour days in Bobby's room during the WSOP.

  5. he won a bracelet in 2005, yes what a drought!

    You are a little off.

He won a bracelet in 2003, $2000 H.O.R.S.E. and in 2005, $5000 short handed NLHE.

With the fields sizes so large these days any pro is going to need a lot of luck to make it to the final table.

i know that hes the older wiser dude who obviously would care more about making money, but the ME events pay a lot more than any other events, right?

Can someone explain how to play mixed doubles poker?

  14. From what I understand based on interviews, he only plays $10K events and just grinds the major side action during the WSOP as well as the rest of the year.

Phil Ivey is such a donk for not having any bracelets (stricktly talking about Main Event Event)...
  17. This is unbelievable. Aww man Hellmuth didn't ship a bracelet this year either. God he sucks. Bracelets aren't the easiest thing to win! Why do you think they are so coveted! What have you shipped in the last 30 years? You've prolly played 10x the Mtts against 1/10000th of the level of competition and haven't shipped 10 of them.
Doyle is ~80 years old. Wtf do you expect from the guy? You think he wants to grind his ass off every day when he's making a ton not playing poker like he use to? If it weren't for him and others like him you wouldn't even be asking this question today.
