I reckon its fairly accurate, he's been playing for so long that there are generations of people who would know him. Could be a tie between him and Hellmuth for the same reason i guess.
In Europe i'd guess that Gus Hansen is by far the most recognised poker player (by name appearance and reputation). But ultimately i dont think you can say if this is accurate or not, it boils down to sample pools and opinions.
