    level right?...........if she said that about random live donks or even other live pros....I wouldn't care at all because she'd be speaking the truth...however talking shit on doyle and his poker abilities is just lol........I would take him, even at his age, in a live cash game over her alllll day......the guy is not only good at the games he plays but he's one of the best in the world........only one losing season of high stakes poker at age 177 gtfo

    journamlism tho.

    i'm sure the interviewer painted annette into some corners. not to be an apologist, but i'm sure at 21 she's hella opinionated but willing to make the interviewer happy by giving copious amounts of dialogue, some of which is very print worthy.

    would love to see an annette doyle heads up match. i'm sure it'd be great tv. i think doyle says he doesn't play much heads up so he might defer if that arrangement were made.

    This. Obviously Annette does not play nosebleed cash games, so what she said is in reference to tournaments. Also, saying there are over 100 female players in the same skill ballpark as Annette is laughable. I mean the author of the article actually had to include Isabelle Mercier and Kristy Gazes just to get like 10 out.

    Exactly, the author spun it into a slant, but if you look at it, women do generally suck at poker. Didnt say a woman couldnt become as good as ivey, just said they are usually worse than thier male counterparts. And didnt Doyle himself admit to his first losing year at poker? He still is better than 99% of player out there even at his age, but cmon, he is a super nitbag at hsp.

    in my honest opinion, doyle is a great player, and has been for a long time. he wouldnt have as much money as he does if he wasnt. however, in high stakes cash games i think the top internet players of our time, dwan, ivey, south would run him over in cash games. and in tournaments, the top internet players of our time, gboro, bax, moorman, would also run him over at a FT over the long run. the game has evolved fairly quickly over the past 6 or 7 years and i just dont think doyles game has evolved with it.
