    well could u guys imagine the wsop making drug tests to all its players? do you think thats possible?? and who will it pass it?? my guess 0 percent online players lolllllll. wanna hear ut thoughts on that....

    Poker does nothing for society as a whole. Therefore, drug-testing is not needed. They are not hurting society by hurting themselves. In return, if they don't test positive they are not contributing.

    All in all, not needed.

    I would imagine the WSOP would lose a significant amount of money if they did this, also it would be comparable to Six Flags drug testing their customers, what's the freaking point?

    I know you're just trying to make a joke about how much weed online players are purported to smoke.

    But this is impossible. Taking samples from 7000 players in the Main Event and running the tests would take MONTHS, as well as several hundred dollars per player (like people aren't bitching about WSOP rakes as it is). What do you do if you're Harrah's, and someone who came in 413th tests positive when you get the results in December? Track them down to Boise or Manchester or Timbuktu and try to collect the money? How do you redistribute?

    lol at this thread. probably stupidest thread ever. for one drug testing would serve no purpose in poker. can you really gain an advantage? second there would be no field. half the field would fail because of marijuana and other drugs and the other would fail because of caffeine from all of the energy drinks poker players down. Just ship every bracelet to Doyle til he passes because he is the only clean poker player

    This thread is absurd, but Graps, they do have much cheaper tests and facilities to test. Avg cost to test these days is well under a hundred bucks and that's to test for several controlled substances. Point taken though, it would be far too expensive and time consuming, even if there actually was a reason to test poker players.

    Considering that pot is legal in some countries, testing would be impossible. They can't exactly test for some people and not for others just because of their place of residence. Pot should be legal everywhere, but whatever.

    When I saw the header I thought, Who cares about Steroids? Then ...oh.. yeah...pot, alcohol blah blah blah.

    But then I though, well there might be some danger in drawing out on some lug nut brained muscle head and having him go all 'roid rage on you. And of course these bulked up Neanderthals always take way too much space on on the table too.

    The one thing I hate on this site is the acceptance of drug use posts on this site and should be banned from discussion, and certainly doesn't belong in PD.

    Majority of the ppl on this forum are from a generation where pot is acceptable and not considered a "drug" per se. Look at real stats and see how many ppl abuse pharmaceuticals and cause themselves harm from perscription meds. I've never heard of pot harming an individual or an indivdual causing someone else harm because it was fueled by smoking pot.
