  1. I don't normally post these & understand a few circumstances where you might execute this flop bet but I'm interested in some comments here.
Basically an $11 satellite into the Sunday Million that pays top two

  2. Fold every time. Most tooren can double up to is about 1400, you'll still have room to outlast him/get your money in good.

So what if the villain has A-3 and he's dead to 3 outs. You get nothing for 3rd and nothing extra for 1st. Survive.
  3. Agreed, I'm just interested in a few comments this morning as this seems to come up quite often. I could make an argument for his play (all be it a weak one) but I've seen ranking players check down boats & once an azz end straight flush.

  4. Fabrizio is an idiot. You fold and go ape shit later when tooren comes back and knocks you out.

    That's pretty much it.

  5. Fabrizo is obviously a moron

    hope u shipped
  6. i don't think i've never posted this before. congrats

    easiest. fold. ever.

like said before, the bet by fab is horrible, but calling his bet would be even worse.
  7. ...i hope fabrizio had quad 8's or something

  9. I can't think of any circumstance where betting this flop is a good idea. There's about 300 in the sidepot so it is almost completely dry.

Assuming that villain is worried that the short stack will survive, how much would winning these 300 chips really help his chances?

Comparing the potential gain to the obvious risk that by pushing you out, he is making it easier for the short stack to survive, it is completely idiotic.

I haven't even taken into account a situation where you flopped the nuts or trips and decide to call him down and somehow the short stack survives anyway by making a str8, flush, or higher boat.

Also, there are players who see AA and it becomes a must play, even in a sattelite. He has no way of knowing what you have and if you would decide to hero call him with a hand like that just to stick it to him (but the short-stack somehow survives and now he is the short stack).

Any way I look at it, this is an incredibly stupid move. I was once playing a $52 or $104 DoN and there was a big stack moving all in the flop with stupid hands like 9-4 and pushing people out of the pot instead of checking it down with the short stack already all-in.

I would not be surprised if this is what happened here and by pushing you out, he allowed the short-stack to survive.
  10. In a situation like this, I'm trying to come up with a credible reason you might bet.

    1) You are trying to distance yourself in the lead in a spot where you almost have to fold anything (you could argue that with 88 here, it isn't a horrible fold, though obviously you'd call there).

    2) Is he multi-accounting or is that his buddy he's trying to help out, that might do it.

Really, rational explanations are thin. My bet is he either has a big pocket pair or maybe an A9. Either way, you have to fold, heck, even if he flipped over AK, you have to fold here, since winning gets you little, and losing you lose everything.

  12. I really need to start playing these again.
  13. This is by far the stupidest play in the history of poker, it shows a complete lack of any understanding of what's happening around him. I'm sure this guy wakes up in the morning and wonders if the sun still exists he is such a moron.
  14. is calling here for the hero really that bad, because since the big stack shoved in u have to give him credit for a hand and that is far ahead of the shortstack. y not call here to increase the chancer of elminating shorty?? since u had more chips prior to the hand and the shorty is allin with any 2 is calling here really that bad??? that said, i was simply being devils advocate and i snapfold and throw my laptop into the pool post hand ala Mike Matusow. just curious did u wind up cashing?
  15. Make a note on this player that says "slowroll"

Not too bright to start a chat war with the chipleader in a situation like this. If his lead gets bigger, he might decide to exert his control over who gets the seat, and you can better believe it won't be the guy who called him "idiot".

Yes, but I really wanted to set a trap for fabrizio & take him out. To put it another way, it was worth the $215 to me to try to get him out after that raise.
