1. i know the hand is getting beat to dearth in another thread...

Is eastgate making this call if he was a seasoned pro, with a larger bankroll? and if your not going to make that play because of money should you even be in the game?
  2. yeah, i was thinking the same. i think he'd call if his country didn't robbed him for 75%.
  3. there is no way that we can even imagine what is going through any of the hsp heads at any given hand...
  4. i completly agree, but ii have a feeling that money was a major issue in flopping trips. if not why would you be in the family pot with 2-4 other than to hit a set and get it all in the middle

  5. if he had 100-150BBs to start the hand; i'm sure he'd get it in. He had 500-600 BBs to start the hand; and he didnt' feel like committing his chips with trip 2s, 4 kicker squashed between two players(greenstein's smooth call on flop had to be scary for him); esp wen their range can be A2s, TT.

def think this is the bigger issue

if barry isnt behind him then that changed EVERYTHINGGG
  7. i understand being scared of the other hands and levels of thinking but pre-flop thinking, wouldnt it be... ok im going to get inthe family pot with 2-4 hoping to hit something and play it.. not i hope i hit something and noone bets so i can take it down without any action.or what flop would he have wanted? 442 rainbow? just seeing that i believe the money not strategy or play was the issue here.

  8. dude this isn't a tourney. If you routinely play 600BB pots with 24 when u flop trips given the action...you will go broke more often than not.
  9. then what did eastgate want to flop????

  10. i think he was happy with the flop at first. BG lead out is normal, Toms raise is normal, BG overcall is not normal!!!

rite then is when he was thinking o shit whats goin on. Even if he thinks he has Durrr beat, and calls the 105k turn bet, if BG shoves 4 another 110k+ he would know hes drawing dead. Last hand of the night, didnt wanted to b put under that of pressure

Dwan is the best NLH player in the world...hands down
