  1. Hi all,

I was chip leader with about 25 to go, and lost a few chips trying to be a little to aggressive, so I slipped to 7th in chips with 18 to go. Blinds are at 4k/8k. . . and a player with slightly more than me raises to 30K (prob just pushed Pot bet). I'm on the small blind with about 185K and have JJ (hooks b/c they mess me up everytime (: ) I think for a little and decide to push b/c I don't like calling with this hand out of position and it would be a large part of my stack. . .when he snapped called I figured I was doomed. He tables 88, and I couldn't believe he called . . .

I don't need to tell you that he hit b/c the way I'm writing you can tell he did (on the turn no less). So I busted in 17th. Do you guys/gals play the hand any different?

I enjoy reading the responses from you guys. Good luck at the tables.

    Rabbit
  2. standard. 88 is the nuts against JJ.

I lost a pot w/ 20 left in DD A a few weeks back with JJ to 88. i would have been CL
  3. You got in JJ against 88 preflop, what exactly did you want to do differently?

    I'm confused.
  4. I like the shove pre. Given the fact that he has a large stack and you are approaching the ft, he will be stealing there often, and as his call illustrates, you have his calling range crushed.

    Well played, just unlucky.

I am not surprised at all, the play in the early DDs is just horrific
  5. I was just wondering if you would do the same Adam, I take it that you would. . .I'm not complaing about the beat b/c nothing is 100%.

    Thanks for your response.
