Brazilian villain is 42/24/3 over 60 hands so far in this $10 tourney....I can def fold and have lots to work with, but given his stats and level of activity, I feel like I might even have him dominated a fair bit. WWYD?

I don't know if I'm 3 betting JJ here 90 bigs deep, I'd probably just look the villain up, and re-evaluate later streets. You can take him for a couple streets of value when his AQ or AK misses, and he gets married to the hand and won't release it when the flop comes down 9 high.
You're probably racing or dominated here... I think you can find better spots. I don't really like flipping this early, esp. in a deepstack tourney. -
Don't see why you're 3betting here especially vs an active villain. I'd flat pre and go from there, knowing that my hand is well-disguised. If flop comes AKx then it makes your decision that much easier if you're bet into. On any low flop I'm happily getting it in, and if you're coolered then just move on to the next tourney.

THIS IS A DEEPSTACK FOLKS, not a turbo. Maybe you should just stick to turbos too. -
Edited By: WarGawd Jul 7th, 2010 at 02:40 AMJust curious if you actually play these Jokers. Reason I ask is because there are all sorts of examples of play like the following in the early stages of these, and you'd be a fool not to take advantage of the opportunities when they present themselves IMO.Originally Posted by JokersOnYou

So the reason I 3-bet with JJ from the SB is because the villain had been very active, really couldnt put him on anything so tight as QQ+, AQs+. AKo...I wouldnt have been surprised at all to see him with TJs or QJs. And since I had only played a few of those 60 hands I expected a 3-bet from me when I'd be OOP post flop had to look strong to him, and realllly expected a fold there. My mistake was in assessing that with that image when villain 4-bets me he has a really big hand and I have an easy fold. Oh well...next time

When you have a read that specific, then yes, you three bet and get it in.
