  1. Like 15 mins in.....Does villian have 99 JJ here almost all the time....Also does the fact that its a turbo structure change what you do.

  2. What do we know about the villain? From what I know I think you're looking at JJ or 99 but of course maybe TT or something goofy. Obv you'd feel a lot better if there were a flush draw out there. I bet you pushed and lost to 99 and now maybe you feel like it was obvious but that's too results oriented or w/e, i think. I bust here but you probably know the villain better and maybe you pitched it.

  3. You should fold. People prob aren't trying to bluff you that often here and your range is extremely tight for betting that flop. In fact it may only be like 2 pair+. NextCase is smart and realizes that trying to bluff you off a strong range is unlikely to show a profit.

I'm like the last person to ever fold a set, but I agree with everything frank said here

  5. FWIW there are 3 combos of JTs and 3 combos of 9Ts available.

Also I have to disagree that Nextcase will interpret jbk's range as two pair+. The preflop 3-better checked this flop, Nextcase certainly could expect jbk to be betting top pair at least some of the time.

To assign an accurate range tho we should consider QTs hands as well. If he is fast playing JJ then he would probably do the same with QT, right?

    ok...QT is a straight tho...3 of a kind < straight

(ya i know you know this...this isnt supposed to be a jackass comment...but it sounded like you were saying 'hey QT is in there' like we beat it...yeah sure, QT is in there, it doesn't really change much tho)
  7. I was just commenting on the hands that villain could have if we want to assign a correct range, then we can do the pokerstove stuff more accurately. Which is why I said "to assign an accurate range tho", indicating that while 9T in his range helps us, QT does not.
  8. Who raises JT and 9T on that board? Not many people and not many would do it often either. We are way behind his value range and don't think he has too much of a bluffing range (quite a few people would bluff here 0% in nextcase's spot). It's a fairly easy fold.

Seems like an awfully good reason to raise 9T if you ask me.
  10. I am most likely a random in the eyes of nextcase...doesnt it seem suicidal to have any type of bluffing range vs a perceived random here?

  11. I think he is almost never bluffing here ... but he could be stacking off with worse hands. I mean, it's hard to flop sets, and it's certainly possible he is stacking off with two pair here as well the Tx combos.

If we stove this I wouldn't include all combos of JTs, 9Ts, 89s, and TT, but we have to consider the possibility that he says fuck it, raises those hands and stacks off on the flop. Stacks aren't THAT deep after the three-way 3bet pot.

DISCLAIMER: I don't know who Nextcase is, I'm assuming he's decent but that's it.

False, for the reasons I said in a previous post. People don't cbet light there, so calling in position would be far better than bluff raising vs a super tight range. People don't cbet light because its a super wet board in a 3 way 3b pot... At least one person is going to have connected to that board in a big way very frequently. Getting it in with T9s potentially drawing dead or vs a set would be pretty bad.

  13. I disagreed with your premise that villain would assume jbk's leading range is 2 pair +. My point is if 88 is an "easy fold" for jbk then is villain raising 99 just to protect against an OESD? Since apparently he is getting zero value from a flopped second set.

i mean...i still think this is a fold

but you can't say things like 'he never has T9s here because raising T9s is bad here'....people do awful things all the time (yes, even (especially) regs)...so just because doing something is bad is not a reason to not include it in their range

I never said people never do it, just that most wouldn't so it'd be wrong to include every combo of it in every range.

  16. if i put in nearly 1/10th of my stack pre and flop a set, im never folding

  18. i agree with frank that bluff/raising this flop is pretty outrageous (doesnt make it impossible for reasons gags stated) since its pretty safe to assume ppl arent bet/folding this flop in a 3bet pot very often.

that being said im not really sure whats best here...i dont think getting it in can ever be too bad and i dont think b/f with bottom set is ever that great so i guess it just depends on my mood at the time lol

  19. I find it hard to believe that in game people are folding a set here. But it does look ALOT like we're beat.
