  1. very early in the 80k on stars. never played villain before today. This is my 2nd hand played so far in the tournament, the first was against villain this trip. I opened 3x from button, he called from small blind. flop was all low cards, he checked, i continued and he called. turn was a king, he checked, I bet 2/3rd of pot and he folded.

    qjuice14 ???

I know a lot of times when the action picks up fast on the river its best to keep the pots small with small sets/fh's. But there isn't a big range that has me beat that makes sense by the way that he played this.

Is this a spot where I should Jam or call?

  2. Jam, he calls and shows QJ J10

  3. looks like it could be JJ but u still need to shove for value

Not saying you are wrong at all, AJ i'm sure shows up from time to time, but KJ> seems less likely. Against a competent player, i'm not getting value out of QQ+ (which i think is a horrible line with an overpair), so am I shoving for value just against a random who plays less logically?

To be honest, the line looks like monster or bluff to me weighted heavily with bluff, so how often does a lesser hand take this line?

  5. i think the villian narrowed it down that you didnt have a 4 so i would think he has aj qj or kj.
  6. ^^ ?

  10. quentin jammer

  11. I'd shove, the strength of ur hand is pretty hidden and it seems he tried to slow play his trips with just flatting on the flop.. Its hard to see him have you beat unless he has JJ (puke) .. maybe he had something dirty like 44 :P
