  1. I am really trying to elevate my game to a high level, and feel that I am beginning to really understand how to play the game all around. The one area I feel like I am weak right now is my early stage MTT play. I hear from many players that they only play QQ+ AK in early stages, than play more aggressively as the blinds increase, but I have also heard players that play real aggressively to start and do raise with suited connectors and small pairs from any position 3x the blinds and call 3x blind raises....what is the better method? I really would appreciate answers from MTT pros and how they approach the early stages of MTTs. I have seen a few of them post hands on here where they raise pre with Ax suited and get themselves in weird situations and it makes me wonder how they even are pros if they get involved in such crazy hands
  2. theres no "better" methed rly. its wat works best for u

early in mtts everyone is deep stacked so its similar to cash play. just like at cash u have tight players and loose players, so to in tournies. but there are many successful tight cash players and many successful loose cash players

so u have to figure out wat u feel most comfertable with

if u like to mass multi table then play tight. ull be losing too much value when u keep raising but have to play post flop alot without being able to rly follow the action well.

if ur playing a small amount of tables and can follow the action, then it just becomes about wat ur comfortable with. playing loose is much more difficult since u will see more flops and its much harder to range opponents since u dont know if they are playing back at ur bc of ur image or not.

if ur unsure ur best off playing tight abc poker early and u can slowly open up if u want to as u feel comfertable

  3. shove every hand tilt u get a stack, then just raise and re raise every hand and show the table who 's boss

  4. pretty much the receipe for 109r on stars ^^

    very good advice imo
  6. some players postflop skills are so weak that raising wider than just premium hands would be -ev for them. So, they're better off playing super tight. Others, who are strong postflop, can widen their ranges considerably and still expect to make a profit based on how many mistakes their opponents make. Also, it depends on table, blinds, position, who's left to act, etc before deciding to open a specific hand.
