    JDeEzLy: ?????

Just for the sake of giving my mindset, we are down to 25 (only 18 pay). I had seen this guy squeeze on the button a couple of times prior to this, so I thought he MIGHT be capable of pulling this off with a bluff shove. He only had to get through the one big stack and me, and he'd win the hand.

If I call and win, I will have like 10,000 chips, be in 6th or 7th place, and be in a good position at the table to start chipping up big time for the FT. If I lose, I still have about 3,900 chips, and I can easily make the 2 stack to my left fold when I'm on the button, so I might still be able to chip back up.

However, the guy had been playing pretty tight. Other than the 2 squeezes I saw, he was basically playing push/fold poker, and he had yet to show down a hand that I saw, so he COULD have a big hand.
  2. JD this is a tough spot to be in but I would fold the hand, AJ isnt a powerhouse, could be dominted or coin flip for half stack with still alot of chips left plus action behind, plus chip leader at the table limping in, he could be trapping with a monster(not likely) but then if he repushes are you gonna call a three way all in with AJ off? The best you could hope for if he pushes or calls is a race? This is the more conservative route but you still have alot of play with your chips I like to be pushing with AJ not calling all in's
  3. Standard fold here. Whatever range you put him on, AJ is well behind. You said he's been pretty tight besides for two pushes so far, and considering the buyin level A9s+/AJo+/KQs/77+ is what i'm thinking he has and there's no need to race with your stack atm.
  4. There's almost never a situation that is either an Esy cal or easy fold. There are easy calls, and there are easy folds, but if you're not sure which one it is its because it neither an easy call or an easy fold. I lean towards pushing here, depends on how tight he's been playing. 2 squeeze plays in what length of time? if it was in like 1-3 orbits than thats not oo tight at all. prob 70% push 30% fold.
  5. If you had a better M (over 12K or so), this is an insta-shove. However, due to the fact that this all-in is half your stack and you are racing or very marginally behind his range, you have to lay this down. This is why I love to take risks early in these things to build a large stack, it opens up a lot of other +EV opportunities down the road when the ranges tighten up.
  6. I Fold.

You still have a little play and certainly enough chips to try and be first in the pot with fold equity. If you call this, then you are calling hoping to be a coinflip. The only hand you really want to see when he turns over is a lower ace. While they are in his range, you don't need to be calling off half your stack and crippling yourself to find out. If you were deeper, you shove here easily. You have 2 smaller stacks than you to your left and should be able to abuse them. Don't forget popeye is still in the pot as well.

I would rather be first in the pot and shove 2 random cards into those on my left then call off half my stack at this point with AJ hoping to be behind in a race.

  7. I fold here too.

Even if you are ahead here against him, you really need to push all your chips in to maximize your fold equity to get HU. You also have to dodge the blinds and hope the limper doesn't feel like gambling a marginal hand.

If you knew it would be HU, you could consider it. Even then, AJ just doesn't play that great. Sure, maybe he has Ax ro something, but if he's holding KQ, that isn't super great for you. If he has 66, that isn't good news.

Let alone, if he woke up with a real hand, that's a pushing spot. So, he's pushing an AK there. So, your probably in some trouble, I'd rather fold and wait on a better hand.
  8. My first instinct was to fold this hand.

Popeye is a joke. I wasn't worried about him AT ALL. The only reason he had those chips is because he raised the first 3 pots when he moved to our table, then I doubled him up when I reraised him with TT (which I should've just stop and go'd him) and he woke up to AK.
