player 2 is a pretty solid player not gettin out of line often. So with 20bbs or so shouldnt a raise to 5750 here be viewed as super strong? Or do you guys think this is a spot where I shouldnt be folding ak? -
with the effective stacks hes not risking 82 bbs bud hes risking more like 20. be aggresive and take control of the hand. id 3 bet leaving him enough room to shove and make a mistake. if you flat what happens when you miss and he c bets on dry boards, you muck. atleast if you raise, he calls, and the flop comes dry he likely checks to you alot of the time.. leaving you in control which is ultimately what you want am i right. terribad

IMO, the only reason to smooth call here is to hope that someone tries to squeeze you out. I'm happy that Player 2 three-bet, so I can get it in with him. Folding here is awful when there's so much already in the pot. By the time Player 2 re-raises, there's 300 + 750 + 2500 = 3550 in the pot. So if you're playing for the entirety of Player 2's stack, you risking about 12200 to win almost 15800. You only need about 43% equity in the hand. So Player 2 has to have a range of QQ+ for this to be a fold.
His range is obviously wider than that. -
thank you for bringing some common sense to this discussion

I think you can easily 4-bet him, by the stats your tracker displayed he is a really loose player with high 3-bet percentages, he may easily be applying a steal on this hand. If he is stealing you may even take the pot pre-flop by forcing his all-in, and it is very likely that if he pushes you are in good shape dominating his hand most of the time or getting a coinflip for a really big pot.
Of course there is the chance that you may have to face the first raiser if he's got a big hand. -
from my other posting you should know that I do know eff stacksizes, I simply misread the HH =)
