1. IF THE GUY WANTS TO PLAY 2 PARTY ACCOUNTS IN A 3500 PERSON TOURNAMENT, THEN SO BE IT. I DONT CARE IF HE HAD 2 COMPUTERS, CONGRATS JJ. AND FOR THE BLIND PUBLIC, ALOT OF PEOPLE DO THIS, WHO CARES, NICE WIN

  2. thanks for stating your opinion, but the public deserves to hear about this and weigh whether or not it's okay on their own merits. this shouldn't be quieted down by any means, nor does it mean we should throw him to the gallows.
  3. Who cares? How about people that have a code of , oh I don't know...ethics? Oh well.
  4. I agree with below, like I said on the other post I agreed with Thor on that 1
  5. i'm going to be very blunt.

    fuck you.

you're ruining online poker with your unbelievably stupid attitude.

if we just turn our head and say "oh it's ok to play multiple accounts" then the integrity we already had very little of is all gone.

seriously, fuck you and everyone who plays on multiple accounts and thinks is kosher.

if you think it's is a pointless issue and shouldn't be pursued anymore, then you're wrong. this is the most important issue to online poker right now.

and if this is true and JJ is entering multiple accounts into single tournaments, then i have lost all respect for him and hope he goes broke.

sketchy1 is an instructor at PocketFives Training . To get more of his advice and to watch his training videos, click here.

  6. i think most of the top players play multiple accounts, the only real problem arises if they are at same table at some point, otherwise really not a big deal in my mind. if they are plying at ring games with 2 accounts now that is a problem, then that is cheating. my thought on the duel tourney entry is that they play so aggressive early that they want 2 chances to get past the first wave. because they are good players they feel positive about chances of making money. now with stars paying 3 X entry for 10% player they can play 3 different accounts and only need to be itm in 1 top break even. the big reason i do not play ring games is for the pure fact that there is soo much cheating on them, think about it half the people playing in the big games are people who regularly im eachother. cheating and circumventing the rules is all over internet poker/
  7. i am willing to reserve my judgement on JJ until he responds
  8. str8flush like I said I agree with below that it isnt a big deal, but what is the difference between ring games and tournies? I dont think it matters either way. In ring games it almost like multitabling accept yea if ur at the same table its 1 less player to worry about. I dont think its wrong either way!
  9. you know who this helps.......The beat. he is thanking god that we all got a new bone to play with.
  10. ring games become an issue becaue at a table of nine having twice the amount of knowledge by having two sets of hole cards is much bigger than having 2 people in a tournament field of 3500. If youre sitting at a table of 9 youve got like 22% of the seats at the table occupied. That obviouslly makes a much bigger deal. Can someone point me in the direction of the link/ thread that started this debate. please
  11. iownsngs u dont seem to understand and must be retarded to not think its wrong
  12. the difference in the ring game is simple both accts at same table, therefore raising the other hands the same as coercion, anytime you sit at 1 table playing with 2 accounts it would be cheating , thats the big problems with multi accts, the big problem is once you get away with it it is hard NOT to cheat and steal from the honest players.lets say i had myself to seats at your table and you in between my accounts, i get monster hand with one and you get a hand your calling , but i am raising myself with both accountsyou are trapped with 2nd best calling my 4 bets. the difference with the multi tourney is the odds of being at same table rare with 3500 people.
  13. So tell us where do you draw the line?
  14. seriously guys let JJ be.

he's the best player i know and he doesnt need 2 accounts to win.

if he says its his grandma's account, thats good enough for me.

    go easy guys, for real.

    please.

  15. I will believe his explanation as true, since to this date I have read/heard nothing but glorious praises for the guy. With that said, I believe it was ok for him to do what he did, but I do not believe in people playing on multiple accounts on their own. Though taking "over" the play at 100k does come to the very edge IMO, I can give JJ the benefit of the doubt. Grats on a commendable win, and for god's sakes, buy your Grandma something VERY nice. GL. Hope the flames and haters don't stop you from posting and being a cool person/player. Hopefully i'll have the opportunity to see you at a FT. GG JJ

  16. jj did not collude.

    jj did not collude.

    jj broke no rules.

    ty that is all.

  17. IT WASN'T EVEN HIS ACCOUNT!!! IT WAS HIS GRANDMAS GET OVER IT!!!!
  18. No one said he colluded. They said he played 2 accounts. Collusion isn't the issue.

    jj did not collude.-Correct

    jj did not collude.-Correct

    jj broke no rules.-Incorrect

    That is all.

  19. what rule did he break?

    tell me please.

    i dont see one.

  20. I'm not getting into it with you. I know you feel like shit for accidentally spilling the beans. If I were you, I'd just let it die. Trying to justify it only makes it worse.

Enjoy your huge day. No need to put your reputation on the line defending something that is a big mess.

  21. just because he says his granny played or whatever doesnt mean we have 2 believe him
  22. OK everyone needs to answer this question, How many of you have taken over for someone else for any reason. I have taken over for someone who lost their internet and won them a $530 seat. I have also taken over for someone who had to go to the doctor and helped them cash in a 180 man sitngo.

Is the issue cut and dried? Should those two players be forced to lose a $500 seat or their buyin in those situations? I have seen a lot of post on here from people asking for people to take over for them because they had to leave. Is there a difference?

If JJs story is true, and I have no reason to believe it is not true. JJ did not intentionally set out to play two account and did not play two accounts at the same time.I understand that having two accounts is against the poker sites rules, but as long as they are not playing both at the same time then what is the difference of taking over for someone else on their account?
  23. This is what is wrong with today's youth. They believe everything they hear. When was the last time someone put their grandma in a $200 tournament? This has got to be the lamest explanation ever. If he would have said my grandma was a world class pro and got ebola and had to be rushed to quarantine and JJ took over I might have believed that one.

JJ is a great player, but a terrible liar.
  24. JJ did not intentionally set out to play two account and did not play two accounts at the same time.I understand that having two accounts is against the poker sites rules, but as long as they are not playing both at the same time then what is the difference of taking over for someone else on their account?

I don't know anyone disagreeing with that. My problem is with some of the big guys on here saying that "It's ok....open your eyes, people...people do it all the time...what's the big deal?"

    etc, etc.

That's the issue. It's the fact that people are actually trying to justify it. YOU CAN'T PLAY 2 ACCOUNTS AT THE SAME TIME, YET PEOPLE ARE BLATANTLY ADMITTING THAT THEY DO!!!!

  25. he is great and he doesn't need two accounts to win. however, you can't dipute that on this day, he did.
  26. bullshit.

i am willing to put the reputation on the line for this.

JJ is a good guy and has helped me alot.

You dont know shit about what happened.

    it comes down to that.

    you dont know shit.

you are talking out of your ass here.

    you are making false claims.

you dont know what happened at jj's house, with his grandma.

unless you were there , and saw what happened, you are just spreading lies as far as im concerned.

I would be willing to bet that you have taken over a tourney for someone, be it for internet disconects, or a friend had plans, or some other reason.

that is no different than this.

get off him, and quit being an ass,

  27. I'M NOT ON JJ!!!

I'M ON THE GUYS THAT SAY IT'S PERFECTLY OK TO REGISTER AND PLAY IN 1 TOURNEY WITH 2 SEPARATE FUCKING ACCOUNTS.

GET THE DICK OUT OF YOUR EAR AND LISTEN UP!!!

IF WHAT JJ SAID IS TRUE, THERE'S NO ISSUE. THE ISSUE IS THAT PEOPLE SAY IT'S OK TO FUCKING CHEAT!!!!!

  28. seriously, it's kind of sad that you had to repeat that so many times.
  29. i know. people don't want to listen. they read 2 lines and make up their mind.

This shit is laughable. It blows my mind that people put their integrity on the line like this.

  30. lol I told BGX that about 10 posts ago via IM. yes we collude on what we post lolol
