So here's the deal. I've been playing MTT's in some capacity for about a year and a half, and have been picking up the volume a little over the last 3 months. I'm having a really tough time getting through to the top 3 of one of these god damn things and I dont' know what I'm doing wrong.

In this play, I decided to squeeze against a loose preflop raiser with a mound of chips, and obviously got snapped off. I hadn't been particularly aggressive in this tournament, although I had raised about 3 hands earlier FWIW. This play alone, is it a terrible one considering the nature of the open raiser? Should I take into account that we're only 9 from the money here?

Is this the type of play that needs to be in the arsenal or needs to be thrown out? Sorry to post in PD but no one ever helps in the HA section...

I guess I put too much emphasis on the overall pattern of the raiser rather than his position and then I also overlooked how early the caller was, also.

Gotta keep the squeeze play to late position raiser/caller...check. I appreciate it.
