When i made this small cbet i was planning to shove if he raised, but after i made the bet i realized he's range was pretty much a set on this board, maybe 77. I didnt think about it enought and moved in, should i flat here? or is it fairly standard?

  2. Its tough, hes the big stack and could just be bullying, depends on read... your hand has a ton of outs and your OOP... I would have probably done the same.

BUT hes getting 2:1 when you shove, so hes not folding too many hands that he would raise there. You kind of have to hope he has a worse draw then you.

If you call, your done with the hand on turn when you miss... which sucks. But it is the safer move.

I think this is fairly standard, your hand is too strong to fold, and playing it slow OOP is hard. So shoving seems like the best move, despite that his raise does very well look like a set, there are many other hands he could have there as well. Many of the hands that are ahead of you (low overpairs, 77) might also fold to your reraise.
  3. you played it fine if you were trying to steal from UTG. If you raised Ac5c to get value/you think its a good hand, then its a really bad raise.

After he reraises you, the only real play is to ship it in.... never flat call on flop if you aren't going to insta shove any turn. (any hand that raises you on that flop is going to call your stop and go anyway, so shoving flop is best... and you are guaranteed to see two cards.)

Generally, if im attempting a steal from UTG, I like to do it with hands that play well against opponents in case they call. A5 is not one of those hands.

  4. how do u ever raise for value with an a5? yeh obv UTG steal, thing was i had a sick tight image at the table + i was UTG so i dont expect really an Ax to flat me preflop except AQ maybe AK and possible AJ and its not like im going broke if i hit my A either, but i figured since i was so tight and had a fairly big stack + it was bubble i were very likely to induce folds around the table.
