Based on his wantiing to tell everyone who he was and his little hint by randomly mentioning he lives in Amsterdam I am pretty certain that it is him.

He won the Stars 500k gaurantee tonight BTW. 4 left he was last in chips was offered a chop and declined. Nice comeback. Must be nice to have $.

El cap is not marcel, he used to play on ladbrokes, and he went on the ladbrokes cruise and i saw him there its not him

You're talking about William "Il Capitano" Thorsen from Ladbrokes i assume? He's a swede who used to play high stakes limit HE at Ladbrokes. Are u sure that it's him?

FattyOwnz, there are two El caps. I saw the one on PS say that he wasn't the one on Ladbrokes (when Emilie said she'd played with him before). Someone typed in, "GL, Marcel" and PS Elcap replied, "ty".

At the final table this was brought up. El capitano said that it was a different guy and that he would really like to say his real name, but PS support advised against it. So El capitano said..."well i'm from amsterdam." It does make sense that it could be Marcel. But who knows it is the internet.

Read the lil' don's post and follow that link...it is and was Marcel. BTW, class guy and great player. Schooled them but good yesterday.

whoever he was, he's my new hero. i watched from 100+ people remaining onto his victory. i thought the deal he offered was pretty fair considering he was the short stack but they all had a fairly good amount of chips compared to the blinds and the amount of chips in play, and nobody had a very good chip lead at all.

**This was the most interesting tourney of the weekend "Brainwash" made the final table again finishing 5th ($28K) out of 3100+.
After Brainwash got knocked out, the players started talking about a chop. They wanted to chop by percentage of chips and then leave 10K in the pot for winner take all. Everyone seemed to agree except for the last place player, "El Capitano" who said that he would only chop if all 4 players took an even cut of 65k and then they played for the last 38K. One of the players said, "Sorry you have much less chips", and El Capitano responded, "but much more skill." When a player was not happy with El Capitano's proposed chop, El Capitano also said, "Seems fair if you look at the hands you guys play." Freakin hilarious...
Anyways, this El Capitano goes on to win it all without a chop and take down $127,520.
Guess who El Capitano is...
