  1. I have been watching single draw 2-7 lowball table Melete $.25/50 table for around 15 minutes now and the whole table is occupied by people from china. The betting patterns and actions, both before and after drawing are identical each time.

I contacted stars about this. Im awaiting their response. Can someone check this out. make sure Im not crazy.

It just seems too uniform to be real people.

UPDATE: Looks like this has happened before. I just found this on 2+2.

EDIT: I just OPR'ed the players and none show up. Does this happen often?
  2. I just watched a round of this and there seems to be some truth to what you're saying. the action is identical every hand except for the number of discards after the draw.
  3. I'm watching but have 0.52 in my acct so can't chat. :(

  4. Just got this from stars,

    Hello Richard,

Thank you for reporting your suspicion regarding Automated play (bots).

Please rest assured that we do not tolerate bots at pokerstars.

We have an extensive deployment of detection programs, backed by
manual investigation in order to ensure that each player is human,
however our policy of continually reviewing security measures means
that we always follow up on reports such as yours.

For the reason of not disclosing our methods to bot programmers we
cannot give a detailed breakdown of our investigation, but will
certainly let you know our findings, once completed.

Again we thank you for your report, and ask that you continue to
forward us any information of a similar nature.

    Regards,

    Bianca

  5. If it isn't bots, it is definitely connected accounts. What would be the purpose? Rakeback or to collect on a bonus. I can't see how they are winning.
  6. busted now it seems
  7. Yea, systematic all-ins within three hands. Thats how it finished...Then all of them left

  8. The real mystery is why you're watching a $.25/.50 single draw 2-7 lowball table...
  9. Not really a mystery, I was waiting in line to play and noticed it.

  15. Very weird
  16. Recent email from stars,

    Hello Richard,

    Thank you for your report.

My apologies for any misunderstanding. I have located the accounts of the
    players in question.

Please rest assured that we do not tolerate automated players (bots) on
pokerstars. We have an extensive arsenal of detection tools in order to
ensure that each player is a human being.

While I cannot detail each of the tools we use to make this determination
(we don't want our methods to fall into the hands of bot programmers who
will then use that information to avoid detection), I can assure you that
these players do not show any indication of being bots, based upon all of
    the tests we have devised.

However, I can confirm that they are committing fraudulent activities,
primarily generating FPPs in order to abuse PokerStars deposit bonus
system and they will be dealt with.

Please note that these players are all related to each other and they have
occupied all seats on the table, therefore, no players were harmed in the
    process.

Again we thank you for your report, as we would always rather check such
players out and know for sure. I wish you the best of luck in your future
games, and thank you for playing on PokerStars.

    Regards,

  24. Not exactly the most brilliantly concieved fraud ever??

    Does this ever work??

I would imagine stars would nail you even if you were somewhat clever.

    Regards,

    Hoong

LMAO as if they are this stupid and got caught being retards. What a bunch of idiots. Like nobody would notice these guys cheating like that.LLLOLLL.
Well done OP on spotting them and reporting it. I am sure you got them banned and their monies confinscated
  26. No they are not stupid! They actually believe in what they are doing and calling you a dumbass for not taking advantage of the same "opportunity". Morals and ethics is not on top of the these guys agenda. You play in a live game out here and you get used to stringbets and collusion as part of the game. Table talk is up to the majority to decide( chinese) and you just have to accept it as the floor does. Luckily, online pokerstars is doing a first class job in policing these morons!
  27. LOL this is happening again at table vesta. (single draw 2-7)

stars security is obviously not as competent, as we would like to believe.

Perhaps I should change my line of work.....
  28. Maybe they don't understand the concept of rake?

I don't see how what they are doing is at all profitable.
