ESPN quoted PPA head John Pappas on the bill:
“We are disappointed that Congress failed to act and provide the necessary consumer protections and sensible oversight over this multi-billion (and growing) industry,” said Executive Director of the Poker Players Alliance John Pappas in an email to ESPN.com. “Sadly, some politicians remain with their heads firmly in the sand. The leadership of the Poker Players Alliance got the debate this far and we are determined to see this through.”
Thanks John for standing up for us players and siding with Reid on the
15 month blackout. I would have felt better about your efforts had you
publicly stood against Reid on this issue instead of saying it's a "bitter pill."
