  1. ok here's a question.

I've just played a hu tourney (i'm just starting to concentrate on these as per my post just a few moments ago) and my oppo times out. I wait a while, ask if he's still there. no reponse. I let my time run down on the next few hands but still no sign. so i carry on playing.

eventually he comes back, down to about 300 chips. As he's come back, I tell him I'll fold back to all square if he likes. he doesn;t respond. i ask again, still no response. so i play on.

    right/wrong?

    thanks

    Ed
  2. What more can you do?
  3. No worries, this isn't an ethical issue. Since you cannot be sure what your opponent will do in the opposite situation, you are well within your rights to continue on. Nice geature, though.
  4. Survey says:

    Fine.
  5. wow, not sure i would ever give the other person that much of a chance, it's their fault they are gambling with real $ on a connection that isn't stable, or gambling online during a thunderstorm when disconnecting is a possibility

that being said, youre a good soul, and nothin more you can do

  6. ok, good stuff.

    thanks for your responses.

  7. I hit call as fast as I can
  8. You did everything right...if anything you may have been excessively nice ;-p
  9. Wholly Shit man-

The minutes someone times out I am hitting that raise button like a damn mad man.

This is not an ethical question this is a smarts question.

Let me give you an example. You play a home game and someone has to take a dump. It ends up being the runs and they got to be in there 45 minutes.

You gonna wait or play on. PLAY ON of course.

Is your time not valuable that u can sit around waiting for someone. Proceed
  10. This is not an ethical question this is a smarts question.

Wrong. It may be both, but it's definitely an ethics question.
