Doubt I raise this size pf and stick in 60 bigs pre with JJ.
That said you're still screwed when the flop comes low if you flat and play post-flop poker. -

Had near identical hand on stars last night but the guy who flatted after two players(ona all in one call) had kk instead. I pushed 35bbs in the bb with qq and the one hand I was near certain had weaker hand flips that over. Just shake head, take notes on him and close it. Then bustod from nice stacks in every other mtt with sh it luck. Nice night. Wp gg me -
Disagree. I like the flat for 2 reasons:
- it gives the guy who min-raised the chance to spazz out on the flop
- with so much money in the pot, it can induce a squeeze from behind, which is what happened here.
Of course you have to be prepared to give up on the flop if it backfires and you get 5 callers and a crappy flop, you only lose 8,000 chips in that instance, compared to winning $150k when the play works. -
ya prob raise to like 23k pre and fold to the shove. its a rush tourney ppl play more trappy imo. I've noticed there are groups of ppl who raise every hand, some who 3 bet with extremely high frequencies to exploit these raisers and quite a # of ppl have caught on and just flat the original raise w/ KK and AA cuz they are getting reraised behind like 50%+ of the time. I think i'm def r/f here pre and never stacking off in this spot
-
really only 24k Pre? i would think that would be about the raise you put in if it was only the allin SS and the raiser but with 2 additional callers i would be putting 10-15 thousand more in that pot. and ur giving them pretty sick odds to call behind if the 3better calls for 24k.
35k looks good. -
I've made the same obsevations, people definantly caught on to the frequent raising, especially people raising in good position get 3bet all day
