1. When you go through that week or 2 in a row where you are running really bad do you play through it or take some time off?

powerslide into a tree on raining night and just die!!!!!!!!!!!
6. If you only run bad for a week or 2 u have it made!!
7. Don't listen to nonsense above. If you honestly believe you do not go on tilt, play more more more, and play through it. Take deep breaths, confirm each decision is the right one in your head before you make it, and let the bad beats come without it affecting you. Whether you play those tournies you run horribly in the next day, the week after, or immediately, they are coming no matter what, and the same goes to the good runs. I prefer to play as much as possible, which seems to make variance seem a bit shorter. Not sure if that makes sense.
8. play through that shit

volume>variance

9. play halo 3 online

10. turn up metalica and shoot your neighbors cats with a paintball gun
11. play through it and look at your game. i think youre playing well right now just getting that one hand to go your way is the big difference

12. You can play as long as you are not in danger of your mental state being affected.

Remember, the time to stop is BEFORE you are on tilt. Once you are on tilt, it's too late.

Talkin' About Tilt
13. Apparently when I run bad, I go busto 3 times on 2 sites, and want to kill myself.

15. fire a little GTA SA, get the chainsaw and KILLKILLKILL
16. I think that a week or two of running bad is not nearly world ending, frustrating though to be sure. I think the best thing to do is to take a week or so off, and also move down a limit or too, just to kind of get your momentum back.
17. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL OLOLOLO

I would run around gta for hours just straight sucker punching heads.
drive all the way across town and hide behind a wall and the first victim of my choosing would get popped in the back of the noggin, as i hop in the whip and dip it.
rinse and repeat.. all of vice city lived in fear of railbot..
and his IRON FIST ....
18. The ability to play other games, for me, is the best weapon I have against running bad. If I have a brutal stretch, especially at NL HE, I know I can play HORSE or Omaha 8/b and reset my brain.

A lot of times, the worst part about running bad is feeling trapped, that this is your lot in life and you're totally fucked (call it the "Mkind16 Syndrome"). I never feel that way, because I know I can run like Big Pussy out fishing with Tony & Silvio and still break even in a 2/4 or 3/6 HORSE game.

19. good article, but the title pisses me off

maybe its when somebody substitutes "ing" for "in' "
20. Drop down in buy ins and play more volume.

21. A lot of people have been saying that you need to play through the bad run. Personally i find it a lot more beneficial to take some time away from the tables. Play a sport, hit the gym, anything apart from sitting staring angrily at the screen.
