Just got a question for fellow grinders who play 50cent/ 1 $, 1/2 - 3/6 nl on a daily basis. What do you guys average daily over a period of a months grind, or a year... responses from high level grinders are also appreciated..
-
My sample is not huge, only 30k hands or so in 2+ months, but $585/day playing 1/2 PLO and NL. Primarily PLO. Seeing as how I usually play 2-4 tables and play 4-6 hours a day. We'll settle on the average amount of 5 hours a day, which means I have been making $117/hr.
-
what do you use to keep your statistics or sample sizes Pokertracker?
-
Did you pay everyone back?
-
I don't believe that $117/hr is a long term realistic win rate, especially if you're playing $1/2, and playing between 2-4 tables.
Very good cash game players can expect a long term winrate of about 5ptbb/100. So if you're playing 4 tables at about 80 hands/hr/table, You can expect about $2*2*5*4*.8 = $64/hr. This assumes that for the most part you're destroying the competition and that you're one of the top regulars in the stakes that you're playing. -
what does pt stand for in ptb
-
For Hold em I like POffice more. For Omaha PTracker.

I disagree. First of all this is 6max. I dont play full ring. You are getting in 100-120 hands per hr. I believe it is attainable. Very good cash players can make 10-20bb/100. Fwiw my bb/100 in Nl is 14.7 but with only 5400 hands, and my PLO bb/100 for 18500 hands at 1/2 is 21.2. I think you are failing to realize how soft PLO is and adjusting your numbers for it.
And yes your last statement is true. I feel there are 3 other players that are close to me skill wise at 1/2 PLo on FTP. Stats back that up. -
My numbers are for 6max games. Looking at all the PLO 6max games on Full tilt the numbers range from 60-90 hands/hour. There's no way that you can expect to get 100+ hands/hr in PLO. For 6max NLHE on tilt, you can get 100+ hands/hr.
FYI, you can't expect to converge on your long term winrate with only 5400 hands in NL, and 18500 hands in omaha. You need over 100k+ to be able to make any sort of long term estimation.
1ptbb = 2bb. -
I agree my sample is small. I have had downswings almost daily, its not upswing variance I'll tell you that. My NL sample is meaningless I agree. You're right on the hands per hour. However, 1/2 PLO is 100X more aggressive then in NL. Hence why on any given day I'll usually be down 3 BI at some point before profiting on the day. Stacks go in left and right while in NL its not near as aggressive at these limits.
-
can one of you guys explain this PTbb thingy plz.
-
poker tracker records your win rate as big bets, not big blinds. So, 1 PTbb = 2 big blinds at the level you're playing.
