  1. On the flop I'm clearly in the lead with the made straight, but when the BB donk bets how should I proceed? Do I flat & hope that this makes one of the other 2 in the pot call as well or should I be worried about someone else drawing to the flush & raise?

  2. I would say "Raise" to "$5 to $5.75." Try to do two things: narrow the field (protect from the flush draws) & build the pot. This charges the players to draw but still gives you some chance to get value for your nut hand. If you get called and a safe card comes on the turn, the pot will be big enough for you to go all-in.

Someone with a flush draw may push over your raise. Other troubling cards could be a [Q] or [J] and improve someone holding [KJ] or [KQ] [AJ] or [AQ] with hearts.
  3. Do you play it the same if you're holding the other end of the straight or is that just a flat call?

I say raise if you are on the other side of the straight and get it in if possible.

@op: For this flop I think it will be more profitable over time to call this flop and raise most turns. If there is still action on river it will be a re eval.

I like that because it gives the third player a chance to raise and then you can flat or big squeeze potentially building a monster.. If UTG+1 calls and the FD hits or you get counterfeit you can get feel out the turn and make the best play then..

I don't play much cash but I would shoot to build a large pot here and you don't wanna scare anyone away by protecting my hand.
  5. Not a fan of the raise pre fl.

On flop, i raise to $6 ish to charge fl draws and str8 draws and for value. If a j,Q or any heart come on turn (and even a 6 or 7 to some degree) is likely to slow action from hands you beat, or get action from hands that have caught up or overtaken you.
  6. This hand ended up working out better than I expected. I raised to $5, the other 2 folded & the BB shoved with the wrong end of the straight.
