Reason: title change -
???
his profile and recent posts posses no indication that he is a scammer

View recent edit of OP, and re-evaluate. Thx, but hfdolhifsiofhgsioghfs ya learn your lessons
Can any mods post in here and confirm this? I transferred $900 to user FACESTEALER (lol, godamnit i'm gunna get flamed ITT) on UB, obviously his name wasn't listed on his p5s profile for that site, gosh i'm an idiot. Got 5 hours of sleep last night, and look what happens/ I feel like a gimp now lol. Please mods, help out if at all possible (ban, etc) -
Attempting to do just that at the moment. Semi success, but freezing isn't an option according to support
They are keeping an eye on users account: FACESTEALER, his names Matt, allegedly. (please SUPER slowroll if seen at any tables whatsoever-- cash, sng, or tourneys. Thank you!)
I learned my lesson, this was an odd but not uncommon, unexpected Saturday morning experience and will never happen to me again, I can assure anyone that.
And again, Mods please check users IP address, etc. Whatever you can do, so fellow transferring players do not get scammed like I did.
GL all and happy (and lucky) weekend grind! -
TY for the service Mr. Blonde! Really never thought it would happen to me, but it did. Enough of my ranting though, just fyi UB may contact you - or another mod - on my behalf about the situation. Thanks again!

Guys, verification service is coming for new accounts.. Until it does don't trade with new users that put big scores on your profile that ask you to ship to horses.. OPR all their accounts, use google, etc. Make all new users ship first..
Renster, I feel for you, hate scammers! -
Very sorry to here you got scammed these things seem to crop up way too much!
Has there ever been any legal action taken against one of these scammers? I really hope at some point this has happened and they've been caught. -
Edited By: WEC Aug 15th, 2010 at 01:39 AMNope....they get off scott free. Just look at Russ Hamilton bigget scammer online of all-time. Anyway, it would be extremely helpful if pokersites made a concerted effort to stop these scammers. There are a ton of serial scammers with plenty of evidence their accounts are stealing endlessly from people where the sites let them keep the accounts open. Of course, even when they close them, the most prolific scammers just open account after account after account.Originally Posted by sussius

Unfortunately, these professional scammers work really hard at ripping off people and have been very successful at parting people with money online. It is important though that people report the activity along with any accouts they actually send money to and any AIM, etc accounts that they chat with. Your bad incident may help stop this guy by posting his information.Originally Posted by Renster12

There are several people online who work to stop serial scammers that prey on online poker players trying to trade funds, stake, etc. -
Also, FWIW I see that someone just got funds back from UB as their security seems to work harder than say FTPs

Sorry to hear Juan (i only really play on UB at your tables), wish i could assist. Thanks for the heads up though, as UB is where i play. How long they hold the account for?

rule #1 dont send money to people you dont know. problem solved.

I'd like to sign up for the scamming deal. I can happily accept money into my various accounts up to 10k. More than that would be ridiculous now wouldn't it?!?
On a serious note, that obv suxx Ren! What can I say, we'll make it up in a couple hrs at best!! Next time just ship it to me; at least i'm good for it!!
