Environment: SB came to the table a few hands before the end of the previous level. We just came back from a break and there were 23 players left with 18 getting paid. SB had open shoved one hand but didn't get called. No standard raises, reraises, or even limps.
Questions:
1. What kind of range do you put him on?
2. Would you call?

doesn't matter, easy fold, A4 vs 78 is about a coinflip.

1. What kind of range do you put him on?
Any two cards
2. Would you call?
Why would you consider making the call? You are behind any bigger [A,x] and any [pp]. You are slightly ahead or way behind.

I wouldn't make a call from the BB, but I was shoving from the small blind (and lost, obviously) and trying to make sense of it from his perspective because I am repeatedly getting knocked out on situations like the one posted.
Ah well, thanks for the responses.
